Didn't realize there was action on this post this year!! Here are the pics for dipping the flakes in wax.
I actually did something a little different this year and will try to get some NEW pics up of that!
This picture shows how I melted wax in a pan on the stove... you can use old candles or paraffin wax or beeswax would probably work too. I use skewers to dip the flakes into the wax and then as I take it out of the wax, I let the excess drip off. Then I lay on wax paper and sprinkle glitter (I like clear) over it before it hardens.
This year I used a electric griddle covered in foil for my heat source. I found a large, round tart pan (or something) at a thrift store and melted the wax in that. This was WAY easier and less messy . . . nice to have it out of the kitchen!!!
