1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Can you fuse plastic and non plastic items? on: December 06, 2008 11:55:27 PM
Hi!
So I was thinking(always dangerous) about what would happen if you could fuse non-plastic items to plastic items.
I was thinking about the way you fuse plastic bags together.
But what if you could also put a magazine picture, or a newspaper article in it. Would it burn?
Would it fuse?
Would it just be a big goopy mess?
I wasnted to make some tote bags, but its hard for me to get plastic bags with designs on them(due to the fact im broke.).
Thank!

Hi!
I've been looking for a juice box tute. But everytime I search it, it gives me juice pouches. Is it the same idea? Or do you need juice pouches to make it work?
thanks

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Putting crafting on a resume on: December 06, 2008 11:11:12 PM
Hi!
I was wondering how I could put crafting on my resume. Or if it was even possible.
I wanted to go out and get my first 'real' job, and I wasnt sure if I could put crafting on it. I usually take comission for knitted items, but I dont know whether it counts as volunteer or experience. It is a source of money for me.
I'm 15, and still in high school.
Thanks

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Crocheting with a knitting needle. on: December 06, 2008 11:07:21 PM
My aunt went out and bought me one.
The she tried to teach me, but she said I was doing it the wrong way(I also use my finger to pull the loop off), so she stoppped teaching me.
I ending up going back to my knitting, so I wouldn't throw the chrochet hook against the wall.

6  COOKING / Dessert / Jello Salad on: December 05, 2008 11:39:02 PM
This is a huge hit at every party I make it for.
My little brother always asks for them.

Ingredients
4 different types of Jello
3 or 4 different types of fruit, depending on the color of Jello(e.g. if you have blue jello, buy a blue fruit.)

Materials
A large container to make the jello in
A large spoon
Small plastic wine glasses
A knife

Directions!!
1) Prepare on package of Jello according to package directions.
2) Spoon an equal amount into each wine glass.
3) Cut up color coordinating fruit and place in jello.
4) Place the Jello in the fridge or freezer(I use the freezer because it takes less time
5) Once jello has set, repeat 1-4 for each package of Jello.
6) Admire all the perfect layers of jello. Top with Whipped Cream if desired.

Note:
Make sure the Jello is completely set, because if it isn't, then the next layer will just blend into the last layer, and it will look horrid.
Another way to do this:
Cut the jello into squares and toss it all in a big bowl. If you do this, you don't need the fruit.

Enjoy!

I knit at school, during jazz band, band, vocal jazz, spare, science...
People have come up to me and asked me if I can knit them something. I've become the resident knitter for the school band, and I even taught my friends dad to knit.Alot of my friends are the artsy type, so they know where my prices come from.
And I've been commissioned for a knit bikini.
The weirdest conversation(knit-wise) I've ever had was:
"Can you knit me a bikini?"
"Sure! But I need uhm...measurements."
"What kind of measurements?"
"Uh, you know..."
"Nope."
Yeah...
