You ever decide you're going to hang a couple of pictures next to each other and then you realize what they really need is a third companion so then you spend every free moment working on the additional piece instead of doing the cleaning that inspired the picture hanging in the first place because if you don't finish it rightthisverysecond your head will explode and also you won't be able to get back to the whole project for about 4 weeks?  Yeah!  Me too!  So I have this:



The pattern is from Cross stitch Silhouettes and the final piece measures about 6x8 on 14 count aida.  As usual I thought I'd have it done in three nights tops.  Being all one color and small really helped nurture that thought.  And as usual I was wrong and it took something close to a week (because I really did stop and do other things, some of which was the aforementioned cleaning).  Thanks for looking!

A Thank You card I made for a friend. 



I colored rubber stamps with water soluble markers.  The letters of "thanks" are on individually stamped and punched circles mounted on small adhesive foam squares to give it a little more dimension.  Thank you for looking!

A friend of mine uses handkerchiefs a LOT and really needed some new ones, but I couldn't just give him some that were unadorned, could I?





As you can no doubt tell, he likes nautical things!

I needed a new tea towel and I wanted to try some different stitches since up to this point I've really only used cross stitch and backstitch (and the very rare French knot).  A tea towel with Chinese lanterns seemed like the best forum!



This pattern is in the book.  I photocopied it and transfered it onto the tea towel w/ carbon paper because 1) I'm OCD about the concept of using up the transfer, 2) I thought I might have an easier time lining up the whole thing up the way I wanted, and 3) I wanted to be able to eliminate the designs on some of them so I could fill them in with stitch patterns.
