1  Re: FOC Second Chance Wishlist Rd 3 **Gallery** in The Swap Gallery by Interrobam on: November 14, 2012 08:32:25 AM
Here's what I received from puttenkat.

For my miniatures category, a felt owl and felt cthulhu! The owl is straight off my Pinterest.

Here they are from a different adorable angle.

A crochet Finn the Human hat! Just in time for cold weather.

And finally a felting kit! I can't wait to start felting all sorts of cute stuff.

Thanks so much for this fantastic package, and welcome back to swapping puttenkat!

First of all, I'm glad you liked everything RougeRaven! That large item is still coming along, hopefully to be sent soon.

Second of all, I love those hoops gotgrey (and are those Adventure Time word magnets?). The Tin-chiridion is fabulous, as are those cool guy/dweeb mugs. Love that loaded charm bracelet, is that a banana charm? Also that adventure sword necklace is amazing! Such detail! That and the Gunter cross stitch are getting pinned for sure. The crochet Finn hat is cool, I  never thought of making a Finn hat with anything other than fleece.

Finally, sorry for the delay in posting pictures. I had a sculpture project due that had some unexpected complications and long story short I ended up spending 25 hours total in the last three days fixing it. But none of that matters now because behold!

(Imagine some math trumpet noises here or something)

First of all, she made me a Finn head pillow! If it looks a bit rumpled, that's because I've been cuddling it the past two nights. She also made me a fortune-cookie Jake, based on (but imho far superior too) the jakeloaves on my Pinterest. There is a Finn doll as well, with removable backpack!

Here is the Peppermint Butler picture I received, which is going up on my wall stat, and the back of the Jakecookie and Finn. (Quick Insert Photos I love you but why won't you let me rotate things?)

TINY BEEMO. Itty bitty cuttie wootie Beemo! And a Marceline head, which I think I'll make into a Christmas ornament.

Here is my new shirt! It is based off of one PB wears, and is accompanied by bubble tape and chocorooms (which I have been craving since I ran out of my last stash from Japan). RougeRaven pointed out that chocolate mushrooms would probably be found all over Ooo. True!

Finally, my partner totally spoiled me by getting me all three issues of Scream Queens AND getting one of them signed by an author/artist! Plus magnets!

Thank you so much RougeRaven, this has been a mathematical swap and I am so luck to have had you as a partner!

Got bored, made teaser pic for RougeRaven:

I put Finn in there because that's the face I want her to make when she opens my package.  Wink

Here's a little preview I whipped up for AllieKat914. It doesn't have everything I sent, but it has most of the highlights:

I am on track and will be ready to send out by September 30th, I feel bad though because my partner sent me my package weeks ago...

Yay! Grin I eagerly await receiving, then wistfully staring at, my package until October 19th. And don't you feel bad about me sending first, I'm just pathological like that.

ETA: The picture insert thing is amazing though right?! Have some black cats:

I've been having computer issues, so I wasn't sure if I would be able to post my great art, but I've managed!

My mystery partner (username wasn't on the envelope or card, art said JH) somehow knew I loved green, cats, and homemade paper, and sent me this wonderful two sided art piece:

If my partner has a picture that better shows off the great color and texture, I welcome them to post it!

My Swag Goes Here

Day 0: Here's my awesome package! I can't wait to open it~! I used a stapler for size reference.

Day 1:

All of my packages! They have cute witch leg tags, along with great ribbon and paper.

Here's my awesome apple bag. I love that it's seasonal, but still appropriate all year round!

And here are the handmade cards I got for Day 13! I'm already making a list of people to send them to.

Day 2:

LOOK AT THIS ADORABLE SPIDER CUPCAKE KIT. LOOK AT IT.

It has tiny tennis shoes I mean seriously.

Day 3:

Today I opened my package to find this:

Whatever could it be?

Pumpkin stencils! There are bigger duplicates of the smaller circles as well. I guess I need to get one of those fake-but-carveable pumpkins?

Day 4:

A pair of socks, a growable black cat, and an ice cube tray! I was looking at this tray in a craft store and decided not to buy it on the off chance that it might have been in my package. I guess my instincts were right!

Day 5:

Handmade coasters! I love the fabric.

Day 6:

VINYLMATION! I love the adorable Bat, and the Pumpkin is fantastic too. I love the suncatcher, more cute spiders!

Day 7:

A cat/witch notebook and syringe pen. I love the pen, so unique!

Day 8:

A package of Red Hot Chocolate in a cool coffin tin! I can't wait to start in on it.

Day 9:

A huge mug to have my hot chocolate in! Inside there is a little ghost:

It's sort of hard to take a picture of it, but it is very cute.

Day 10:

An amazing evil mermaid hoopla!

EVEN THE STARFISH IS EVIL.

Day 11:

Black pasta. :O

Day 12:

And within a black wooden coffin...

THIS BRACELET GUYS. THIS BRACELET

The vampire teeth! The cleaver! The evil faries and evil mermaids! I absolutely adore this piece, especially since it is subtle enough to wear year round.

Day 13:

A Halloween bag of smarties! I am going to die of a sugar overdose guys.

8  Re: Felt Badge Round 2 Gallery!! (Send Out July 9) in The Swap Gallery by Interrobam on: July 12, 2012 12:41:13 PM
Great beetle badges!

I hate to bogart this gallery with my awesome felt swag, but I after posting my first badges I checked the mail and found that my other partner's package had arrived. Kimchery sent me two great badges, a reversible Pride badge and a Perry the platypus badge. I love the Pride badges, it has great colors and such nice stitching! I am especially impressed by kimchery's skill in cutting out the loops of the gender symbols.

As for the Perry the platypus, all of the colors used are super on-model, and I love all the care kimchery put into little details like the hands, beak, and hat. She also chose Perry without knowing he was my favorite character on Phineas and Ferb! Psychic partners are best partners. I'd also like to add that the white felt on Perry's badge and the black felt on the Pride badge are sparkly, which is great but didn't show up in the pictures very well.

I am so behind on badge appreciation! The beaded pear is so sweet and simple, as is the fox with the heart, I'm going to pin it and try to make one for myself. I always like button rainbows, and that yellow submarine is so detailed! The radish is cool too. And Howl's moving castle is just unbelievable Shocked ! So much badge envy! I also like Mario cube, it's awesomely interactive. The camera and the cooking badges are great, sort of like craftster merit badges. The opposite popsicle are cute, as is the uni/pirate/zombiecorn story! I love all of the badges with charms on them, but the one with bees I like the most. Multimedia-ish badges rock. This gallery is just a wellspring of winningness.

Speaking of winningness, after some drama with the post office, I received my badges from missmelmarie yesterday!

The first one is based off of one of my favorite moves, Anchorman. It has a quote from the movie: "Baxter, you are my little Gentleman". Very funny, very colorful. I used my clear-ruler-square-thing (whatever it's called) for scale.

The second is based off of one of my pins (For reference: http://pinterest.com/pin/152066924888282129/) and depicts a Burlesque girl. I love the metallic thread, and I'm always a sucker for Victoriana, but my favorite part of this one has to be the swirl in the hair. I also included a cute ribbon missmelmarie put into the package in the picture.

Thanks so much missmelmarie!

10  A Peacock, a Fox, a Hummingbird, and a Cat in Completed Projects by Interrobam on: July 09, 2012 09:46:05 AM
For the Felt Badge Swap Round 2, I crafted up a bunch of badges that I'm only right now realizing are all animal related. All of them are roughly 3x3 inches.

First there's this whitecollar peacock, who's coffee cup says "Thank Isis It's Friday":

Then a Fox camofauged into an autumn leaf (and holding a leaf in its mouth, leaf-ception!):

A hummingbird entwined with a flower:

And last (but not least!) this cat, who in my mind embodies the epitome of a fat, fluffy, arrogantly adorable kitty:

I also stitched a little green heart onto the back of all of the badges, just to make them a little more personalized:
