Good job. You must be very proud of yourself!! WTG!
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Citrus Carolina on: July 07, 2010 08:02:52 PM
Thanks all!

It was my first time hand quilting so I'm not brave enough to try anything larger than a baby quilt...maybe one day, but not anytime soon. Funny thing is that I really enjoyed the portability and relaxing pace of hand quilting. I won't give up my machine quilting but it's nice to add something to the repertoire!

I've been a member here for a while but am just now sharing pictures of my quilt projects. This one is named Citrus Carolina because of the "spicy" colors. I really enjoyed the relaxing pace and portability of hand quilting!

I've never tried self-binding. You have a good eye for color. Great job!
5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: little lone stars and turtles baby play quilt on: July 04, 2010 02:36:15 PM
Check out those Lone Stars! This looks really good. One day I'll try a Lone Star pattern...but not anytime soon.  Wink

I am a sucker to traditional quilt blocks. You did a fantastic job!

What a great use for yo yos! I've got a few laying around that would look great in a similar project.

I'm responding about a few years too late to this post but I'm new so...

I live in Horn Lake, MS and would love to chat about local happenings, especially quilt-related stuff. Speaking of which, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art has a quilt exhibit until May (I think). Not a lot of quilts but definitely nice variety and workmanship.
