1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Purple Reindeer (Picture heavy!) on: August 19, 2011 01:11:37 PM
So after I painted up my Teal Reindeer, I got super excited about the idea of making a ton of colorful reindeers. This guy is my second one. I painted his body a really pretty purple, did his hooves yellow (with gold sparkle) and black antlers (with a TON of silver glitter). His antlers were all squished from sitting at the bin at the craft store which is why they lean to the side a little. I still luff him though <3

I'm having so much fun with these guys Smiley

The first one I did; a lovely teal and purple Reindeer!

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Teal Reindeer on: August 10, 2011 08:18:40 PM
I picked this guy up on a whim at the hobby lobby a few weeks ago and decided to give him a little more color. Painted his body teal and blue, gave him so purple antlers and a little pink nose. He doesn't show it in this picture, but I have since given him several coats of varnish and put sparkles on his antlers.
I LOVE him to death and I really want to make a whole herd of rainbow colored reindeer to keep me company in my craft room <3

Front view, he has such a sweet little face! I'm so pleased with how well it turned out!

There's no reference in the photos, but he measures about 4-5" high Smiley
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Dino Necklaces! on: August 08, 2011 12:05:11 PM
Hey guys!
I've been making these necklaces for a few months now, but it suddenly dawned on me today that I had never bothered to share them on Craftster! They're SO addictive to make, although they can be time consuming with all the painting and gluing and varnishing and yelling at the dog that "NO DINOS ARE NO FOR CHEWING!"
Totally worth it though when I get to take pretty rainbow pictures like this.

They started out as just a project to cure insomnia and now I have a whole herd of them. Yay dino herd!

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Mini Skeletons on: January 17, 2010 07:16:53 PM
So after getting bored with making a few of my larger skeleton plushes, I tried making a few mini ones! I like these even more I think XD

Pink and Black

Purple and Black

Perfect for hanging off purses and christmas trees!

Made of felt, embroidery thread and ribbon. These things are so freaking addictive to make.
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Voodoo Skellys [Lots of pictures!] on: December 19, 2009 12:45:16 PM
I made a bunch of these for my friends around Halloween this year. They're all totally handsewn and made of felt.
Cutting out all those details was INSANE.

They each had their own name and personality to go along with them Smiley

I have several more that I haven't taken pictures of. I'm super addicted to making these little guys!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Monster ipod cozy (buncha pictures) on: June 10, 2008 01:19:51 PM
I noticed the other day that my poor little mini was starting to look all scratched up from banging around in the bottom of my purse. So I whipped this cozy up super quickly today since I was staying home from work (I like how I'm more productive when I'm sick). I added a little bit of velcro to the top to keep my ipod from flying out when I'm swinging my purse around wildly. I love how easy this was to make and I have a million more designs I want to do!

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Monsterssssss! on: February 27, 2008 08:07:34 PM
I started making these little monster ornaments around christmas time, and now I'm totally addicted.
I have them hanging everywhere...

I spent way too much time at work today sketching up designs for new ones I want to make.

So what do you think?
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / How do I decrease? on: March 22, 2007 06:23:32 PM
Ok, so I've recently decided to take up crocheting (making amigurumi more specifically) and I have a really basic question. Through massive trial and error (plus a little internet help) i've fingured out how to crochet in the round and how to increase, but...(and her comes the dumb part)

How do I decrease?

I've tried looking online, but the answer eludes me. I'm probably just being special and the answer is right there in front of me  Undecided

Help please!
9  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Ren-faire Costume (Noway! Mah first post!) on: October 23, 2004 03:52:49 PM
Yesh, so recently I got around to making my own ren-faire costume. Go me! It took about 2 days (including fabric shopping and such) but it was time well spent. I'm so happy with the way it turned out! (The bodiced killed me though >.<) It's being modeled by my friend Jackie..wooo...I apologize for the crappy picture quality
