1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knit-Out at Mall of America on: February 18, 2008 09:04:53 PM
I work at mall of america and sort of wandered through on my breaks. Its not something I'd travel very far for. It looked like a lot of standing in lines for free patterns. the fashion show was nifty but again...how far would I drive for it? I don't know. the fastest knitter contest was supposed to be cool though.

Wow, i had joins but not NINE!! I hit a bit of a brick wall enthusiasm wise. Just got busy/started school/switched jobs, but I'm hoping to have it ready by sweater time!!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Need help with circular needles! PLEASE! on: August 31, 2007 07:59:35 PM
sounds to me like getting it twisted. Its a mistake most beginners make, id say try one more time making sure all the stitches are pointing down (i make mine point towards the inside of the cirlce)

Any chance i could get you to take a picture of the label? We can tell you a little more about your yarn then.

Well its not a "weekend" project, but Its a lot of lace and since there's shaping involved theres no chart, hence some of the length. I just browsed through it quickly but I didnt feel like the type was super small, perhaps a little bit more length....oh and theres like 5 pages of tips/abbreviations/gauge stuff at the beginning.

I'm not saying its a short pattern, but I do think its not as bad as it seems.
