21  tie handles make me happy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by knitster88 on: May 02, 2005 04:37:36 PM
here we are ladies and gentlemen. my first posted project so if theres a few kinks to work out in the beginning bear with me.

i made this purse about two nights ago in my quest to find the perfect size purse. although come different seasons i carry different things so theres a good chance this quest will never end. oh how exciting, id be very sad if i no longer had an excuse to sew bags out of boredom. so the strap is a tie i found at our local costume store when it sold out. i like it and i like the way the colors look together, although some of it does look a bit washed out in the pictures. i especially like the lining of this purse, i had a friend who moved kind of spur of the moment and left alot of stuff behind for us to deal with, well this is how i deal.

and the inside

and no i did not hire a hand model, those are my own didgets you see there.

so there we be ladies and gentlefolk. bon appetit.  Roll Eyes

edit. the biased tape around the top is a more brilliant turquiose color, less "north carolina come on and raise up" and the more i look at it the more im not happy with the stitching on the bt, its kinda um...unprofessional looking i guess youd say.

please let me know what you think, comments and what not are greatly appreciated, i like my stuff and would love to try and sell, but i think i need to polish my work a little more.
