1  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / Re: i'm addicted now... after my first yarn! on: March 21, 2009 05:41:25 PM
Very pretty color.  I think you made a great choice in dying it.  I have wanted to try kool-aid to dry some wool items and was worried it wouldn't color completely.  Now I may give it a try.  Got any plans on what you will use the yarn for?

I love it.  I love all the bright colors.  If I saw this in a store it would so be mine.   Smiley  Wonderful work.
6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: What are your bad sewing habits? on: October 01, 2008 05:55:44 AM
I open buttonholes with a seam ripper

This isn't how to do it?  But I was taught to do it this way in senior grade sewing class.  I feel so betrayed.   Cheesy

My big issue at the mo' is my machine has never been cleaned or oiled.  Bought the oil, never used it.  And have not cleaned it.  I did run over some needles with it also, but purely by accident because I didn't take them out in time.  But not the tension seems offish.  So, *sigh* it may need service.  But its nice to know I'm not the only one with a machine in need of some TLC.
