2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: jackalope (abstract taxydermy in geometric shapes) on: April 09, 2010 06:49:03 AM
Taxidermy heads always creeped me out, haha. But this one just fixed me! It's so cool. I love the contrast of the conceptualized body with the realistic antlers. How did you make them so realistic??
3  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Birth Control Pouches? on: April 04, 2010 04:22:43 PM
I'm saving those too! I have some pretty purple ones from a different brand as well. For now I'm just using a couple to hold all the business cards I get because they're the exact size. Sorry I don't have any crafting ideas... I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the bunch I've gathered.
4  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Chocolate-covered oatmeal peanut butter sandwich cookies on: April 04, 2010 04:14:22 PM
Alfajores! Hmm, deliciousness. I do feel I gained weight just from looking at the photo, like Yarn or Fabric said haha.

No, really, they look too good. Thanks for sharing the recipe.  Smiley
5  COOKING / Dessert / Re: White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake from allrecipes.com on: March 31, 2010 07:18:34 AM
haha That first paragraph reminds me a lot of myself when producing some celebratory, baked good is my mission. Except I love cheesecake too much to consider making it from a box. If I don't feel like making it from scratch, I make something else.

I'm glad you stuck with your plan because it looks so delicious!!! Then again, White Chocolate + Raspberry + Cheesecake just can't go wrong, haha. They're all too amazing.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Dress recon for a little lady on: March 29, 2010 08:02:56 AM
She looks gorgeous in it! It's very romantic. She could be the flower girl at a wedding. Cheesy
7  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Re: Jason's Scarf on: March 29, 2010 07:58:04 AM
Wow, you did an amazing job! And it's so awesome you even spun your own yarn. That's starting from scratch. I'm sure Jason loves it.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: men's button-down turned summer dress...now with tutorial!! on: March 26, 2010 01:44:46 PM
This is such a lovely dress! I have a great enormous button-down waiting for the day I am able to buy a new sewing machine, just do I can do this. I like the color of yours better though, haha. I might have to dye mine.
9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Re: combined method pinch and coil pot on: March 25, 2010 10:36:45 AM
This looks so cool! Such an interesting piece. I had never seen something like it. Kudos!
10  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Vegetarian Meals for Meat Eaters (and Vegetarians, too!) on: March 24, 2010 02:14:59 PM
Haha, love that! I love eggplant parm, too, but I don't bread or fry mine anymore! I bake it in the oven. And this lasagna uses eggplant instead of most of the noodles, so you win taste-wise and calorie-wise!

I like my parmigiana baked too, but he insists on frying... So I have it baked when I'm with my family or with friends from home. Baked (veal or chicken) parmigiana is very common in Argentina as a healthier alternative.
