1  Not Awesome but I will wear it Halter Top in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by dnmgiordano on: May 25, 2005 02:02:00 PM
I like this shirt a little bit, it only took an hour to make.  I got .4 of a meter of this fabric for $1, so at first I made a skirt, but it was really ugly, so I took it apart and made this halter top.  It has a tie at the neck, but it somehow crept up to the side of my neck for this picture.  Its not the most spectacular thing I ever made but I like it enough to wear it to work.  I did not use a pattern for the top.

If you all want to reply that would be good, but I hate it when people say "I love it" when something is ugly.  Oh, I almost forgot, I made the pants too, they are brown pinstripe, but not worth posting a whole picture of them. I did use a pattern for the pants.

If anyone wants a tutorial just reply here and I will make one up.

Thanks for looking!  Cool Does this pic make me look fat? (joking, don't answer that)

always wanted to try this marquis...very cool..yey for craftster

3  Small Critter Tent! Tutorial too! in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by dnmgiordano on: April 26, 2005 12:23:28 PM
Here is a tent that I made for a baby ferret that we are getting, her name is Missy.  I thought she might like a tent to play in.

Here is the Tutorial, The areas in Pink are the pieces of the tent.  I wrote it with experience in sewing assumed.

Materials:  1 Fat Quarter 20" Square.  Some Bias Tape.  Dowel rod or Bamboo sticks for Gardening.

Cut a circle or a slit in one triangle for the critters door, cover with bias tape.

With Right sides together sew each triangle to another until you have a circle of them, sew folded bias tape into edges to form the loops.

Sew the top closed.

Right sides together sew the bottom square on to the tent, the turn right side out through the door.

Put in your sticks through the loops, probably about 13" but measure first to be sure.  I taped the top of mine together to hold them up.

This is my first one and it took about half an hour.

With the rest of the fabric I might make a hammock or a ferret carrier purse!  I bought half a meter and only used half of that!

This was my first tutorial!  What do you think?  I hope its understandable.
