551  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Gluten Free/Celiac Recipes on: August 23, 2008 06:23:14 PM
My 2 1/2 year old son was on a highly restricted diet for quite a while due to a lowered immune system.  We found the website http://www.ener-g.com/.  Very helpful.  A local market sold some products and we were able to get them.  He is slowly getting better and is now allowed to eat gluten foods but still cannot have any egg products nor any corn.  This include corn syrup which is in EVERYTHING!!!  That is a whole other topic!!!!

Hope the website helps.  Not sure if anyone has posted the website yet.

Sorry if I am repeating something. Huh

Thank you for all of your help!  I will have to come up with a good recipe and share with you.  Are you a sweets or savory person?

556  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Ultimate Recycled Idea site! on: August 23, 2008 05:47:58 PM
I found out about this website when hubby and I received a gift for the birth of our son.  The stuff can be pricey but oh the ideas!  I have made several things similar to those on the website.  Something to get the creative juices flowing.

How cute is that?  Those are very practical.  Too bad I never had one.  If # 2 comes around, I may get around to making one.

I love the coordinating stuffed animals.  The fabric is so colorful.

MMMMMMMMMMMMM!

I finally had a chance to make it.  I had to cut some corners.  I forgot the recipe at home and I could not call my hubby because he was putting our son down for a nap - never disturb nap time!!!!  Smiley

In our ready made section of the grocery store, they sell the rotisserie chickens and I used one of those delicious birds! I wanted to make my own salsa but I could not. I forgot to get canned tomatoes so I had to use my fresh ones.  I couldn't get myself to pay $4.99 for one stinkin' medium red pepper.  Isn't that ridiculous???  I ended up using my jalapeno that was supposed to be for my salsa. I forgot the basil, and we decided sour cream wasn't needed.  This is coming from a self proclaimed sour cream junkie!  I used 5 cans of broth instead of 3 for a soupier consistentcy.

Very delly-ish-us!  Thank you for the recipe!

I am not sure how this craftster thing works and I am not sure how/if I can post a picture.  I don't even know how to start a topic!!!  (((craftster virgin)))
