2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Craft with your S.O. Swap Gallery on: August 31, 2006 07:40:09 AM
Post em when you get em!
3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Craft WITH Your S.O. Swap (Sign-ups July CLOSED; Send-out Aug. 25) on: July 14, 2006 01:04:13 PM
Craft WITH Your Significant Other Swap!

Swap name: Craft WITH Your Significant Other Swap!
Craftster members who are organizing this swap: samsmartypants
Sign-up date range: July 14-28
Date to send item by: Aug 25

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): no

Non-U.S. participants allowed? yes

All ages allowed? Or 18+? All Ages

Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: Yes

Details:
You grab your significant other and your supplies and get crafty together! Pretty much, this is a good chance for you to share interests and get them involved in something you are addicted to. Its like a variation of the Craft for Your S.O. Swap. If you dont currently have an S.O. feel free to include a family member or close friend!

Take the survey for your partner and S.O. and work together to create one medium and one small item for each of them (thats 4 total for those keeping track). It can be anything under the sun, as long as it fits their likes. If you want, and its okay by them, you could instead craft one large item for them to share and a small item for each of them.

Rules;
You need a DC number if you are mailing in the U.S. If you are mailing outside, a receipt scan will work. Also take note of the customs number (at the top of the form).

You must communicate well and send on time. If you are going to be late, make sure its for a good reason and let the organizer know!

Please keep an eye on your S.O./new crafting buddy if they are beginning crafters. We still want to make sure the recipient gets a good quality item. It may not be super advanced or complicated, but it shouldnt be crap. Remember, this is going on your feedback.

Try to remember to put the swap name in the title field of any messages. This will make it much easier for the organizer to keep track of them.

FYI! There are NEW swap rules! Please read them before you submit your survey. Follow this link; http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=105476.0

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / School Days Teacher Swap on: June 27, 2006 11:16:30 AM
Would anyone be interested in a teacher swap? We could craft and swap decorations for the classroom, educational materials, books, even some personal items for the teachers themselves.

I just switched my major to elementary education and I'm really excited about it. Are there any other crafty teachers out there?

There was a swap idea like this last year, but it never got off the ground. I'd love to make this one happen!
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Anyone interested in doing a commissioned portrait? on: May 15, 2006 10:02:43 AM
My best friend is graduating this month and I would love to have a really cool painting done of her. The only problem is, when it comes to painting I am a lost cause! Would anybody be willing to do a painting for commission? Just let me know how much you want and show me an example of what you do, and hopefully it'll work out!

Thanks!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Guns and Bleach on: May 03, 2006 05:36:14 AM
My very first shirt that has any artistic ability whatsoever. I didn't print out a stencil, so I pretty much just looked at a picture and freehanded it with a bleach pen. I'm amazed it came out this well.

Sadly, it's for a swap that is being sent out this week. I love it though!

My amazing boyfriend made this for me for V-Day and then asked excitedly "You're gonna put this on Crafster right?" Yeah, I adore him.

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Things that are WICKED on: February 23, 2006 06:23:19 AM
Making yet another theme present for the boy. This time "Things that are Wicked"

Of course his biggest present will be tickets to see Wicked on Broadway.

So, right now the only thing I can think of as wicked is lingerie and alcohol. I'd really like to give him some things that his mom can actually see though.

Ideas por favor?
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Sky Diving was a good idea, but he has a mom on: February 15, 2006 08:33:06 AM
So I thought I had the perfect gift planned for my guys birthday. Hes really adventurous and has been talking about skydiving and how he doesnt have enough money to go. I was all set to get him a gift certificate for his first jump, but now Im worried about his mother. He still lives at home (were 21 and in college) and shes a nervous wreck about everything.

Im going to ask his dad if he thinks its ok, but have an overwhelming feeling that its going to be a no-go. So what can I do instead??

I want a present that will knock his socks right off and my limit is about $200.

Silly parents thinking sky diving isnt safe.

Ideas please? His bday is in two weeks! You people always have the best ideas Thanks!
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Is it bad that I don't want to cook? on: February 13, 2006 10:19:40 AM
So my guy just found out that he has to work on V-day until 8:30. Meaning that he wont be home until late and we wont be able to go out. I truly do not want to cook on Valentines, but since theres really no other option and he does love it when I cook for him, I need ideas.

I still live at home (we're in college), which makes things tricky as far as having a romantic evening in. My mom, undoubtedly will be in and out of the room, so it kind of kills any idea of romance.

I hate feeling so annoyed, but  I just feel like Valentines has just died a little. I know I am terrible. Anyway, what can I do to make V-day at home still memorable and romantic??

He has requested steak for dinner and something chocolate for dessert. Im not as concerned about that as the whole decorating and ambience

Stupid work.

Thanks in advance. :-) I think I just need to chill out a little. grr.
