i've finished one item and still pondering the rest.
Ummm... have you seen superhooker's stash? She has enough inventory to open TWO yarn shops, hope your house is big! Grin

I don't have any idea what you are talking about...I don't even own yarn.   Tongue

hahaha   I've seen ur blog. In fact I saved the pictures of ur yarn stash in a folder just in case my dear sweet boy ever tells me I have a yarn problem... I'll just show him those pics and deny deny deny!!! LOL

I HIDE my yarn all over the house. I am lucky enough to live with a completely unobservant man who never notices that my one skein of yarn keeps changing size, color and texture LOL

yeah!!!!!!!!! you did a great job too!!! I think it looks fine with or without a face. I think it is amazing to see how people can follow the same pattern yet have slight variations in the final product.

and yes i agree with you... i don't like vanna's choice either.  My gripe is everything comes out feeling like its been starched....

Oh and by the way guys a friend of mine came over the other night and told me she couldnt believe that I don't break hooks left and right because my stitches are so super tight....lol... so that is prolly why urs are larger...  Cheesy Wink

ok thats why ur is different... i was determined to get to the bottom of it.... I think an 8-ply yarn would be heavier than what I used

I used a worsted (#4 medium weight yarn) I got it at hobby lobby its called "I love this yarn" and its cheap too... you can get those really tight sts but the ami doesn't turn out "stiff" and it also seems much softer than the typical acrylic...

But I must say it again... Great job on Mrs. Shiitaki!

she didnt come out exactly like the pic on the pattern, that could be just the placement of the face, but I think its the lower body isnt quite long/wide enough and the upper body seems a bit long, but that may just be me

Wow I'm amazed! You did that fast! It looks great!
After you stuff her it is helpful to kind of roll the body between your hands back and forth... helps shape the body... Thanks for helping me test the pattern! Once again great job!!!
