I got ones with e. e. cummings quotes, and Jim Morrison quotes for my baby to be.  Rock quotes are always good.

Heh.  They're in the bag, I just have gnomes on the brain and didn't notice I did remember them.

Mel made it home a couple of weeks ago, I've just been camera challenged.   While on vacation, he had an affair with Wonder Woman, and returned as Wonder Moose.

While he saw the sights, this was by far the greatest joy of his trip.  It wasn't without its bumps though.   There was a cupie doll that almost messed things up.

He also came back with a great t-shirt, some amazing yarn, and a chocolate Easter Bilby, which is kind of like an Easter Bunny, but far more appropriate considering Australia's ecologicial challenges.  (Bunnies are bad news)  The Easter Bilby isn't in the picture because of course he was eaten right away, ears first.

This was the best.  I had an amazing time.

I got my amazing gnomey stuff last night.  I got a great gnome catching kit, and this wild stuff gnome, that is driving the dog mad.
I also got some gnome notecards that didn't get in the picture.

He has mad artistic skills.  I can be creative, but he has the patience to do things more complicated than I ever will.  In some ways its good he's not crafty, or I would be shown up constantly.

So I though I would try a Fimo gnome, because I could make something the right size and very fun... and well, remember to double check the temp.  It was a lame gnome, but frying it didn't help matters.  Smiley

And just to show me up, the hubby grabbed my fimo and made a totally cool gnome head. Bah.

I decided to go a different route after that.  Smiley

Minneapolis!  I vote again for Crafty Planet, they have their class space that isn't bad at all.  www.craftyplanet.com.  They are more than knitting, they have all kinds of crafty goodness, and sell stuff from local people (big bonus in my book)

The chains kinda killed the local bookstore scene, otherwise I would have suggested one of those.

I need to post pictures, but Mel came home a changed moose.  Not only did he get to see all kinds of cool stuff in Australia, but he had an affair with WONDER WOMAN!  And he got drunk, but the affair takes the cake.

This has been the best.
