I'm making a super hero cape for my 4 year old nephew. There's a free tutorial available from thelongthread.com
I'm thinking about making a cool guitar strap for my little brother, I could also make one for my dad.
Another idea I had was piecing together plaid and solid flannels to make scarfs, seemed pretty easy and useful.
For my husband I have no idea yet as far as handmade. I'll have to keep thinking, he's always such a tough one to shop for.
There's also a cool box bag tutorial available at dragoknit.blogspot.com for guys who travel a lot or want to keep organized in a small apartment or dorm.
