1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Fairy Houses on: December 16, 2011 10:19:37 PM
Hi!  I sometimes post in the discussions and questions board, but I never post my completed dolls.  Mostly that's because I don't take pictures of them because they're gifts and I'm finishing them at the last second Wink  But I'm a member of a doll club and we take classes from many artists.  Leslie Molen is coming in March, which I'm really excited about.

Here are two fairies and houses that I finished recently.  The house is modified from a Julie McCullough pattern, and the doll is an original design.

I hope to post here more with the Christmas gifts I'm making.
2  UNITED STATES / Indiana / Indy Cloth Dollmakers at WAMM Fest (Greenwood) on: August 08, 2011 04:26:22 PM
The Indy Cloth Dollmakers will have a booth at the Wine, Art, Music, and Microbrew Festival
in Greenwood, Indiana on Saturday, August 20th.

We will be one of about 50 artists, mostly local.  If you are interested in seeing our dolls, please stop by!

The entire festival is a charitable fundraiser, so there is an admission fee of $10, but all the proceeds go to local charities.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Looking for inspiration on: July 14, 2009 04:47:06 PM

I bought a few Green Girl Studios pewter beads, and I'm not sure what to do with them.  Has anyone used these, or have ideas of what I can do with them?

Thanks!

I can't find the book mentioned in the caption or instructions on the internet.  I was hoping someone here could help me!

Thanks!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Masks for Masquerade Wedding -Pics on: June 26, 2008 09:42:23 AM

I know that all the quests at my Masquerade Wedding will not be in costume.  So our favors are going to be fake moustaches, animal noses, etc.  And the centerpieces will be bouquets of masks.  Here's a link to the four I've made so far.

First I made a mold of the mask with clay and a plastic mask.  The I use two layers of heavy weight scrap booking paper to paper mache over the mold.  I soak it and just lay the paper over the mold and form it there.

I'm excited to try the venetian cat style next!
(Ok, I think I got the pics working now)
