I rec'd today from jonnamarco, look! First set is a super cute sea monster sculpture and the cutest coasters ever, I love them. Here is a second set of coasters, they're awesome. My partner said she made two sets and hated one, I don't know which set she didn't like but I love them both. I think I'll use these as wall hangings though. Some extra goodies from The Nightmare Before Christmas - earmuffs, a notebook and a wristband. Already someone has tried to steal my earmuffs, twice! And last but not least, a wonderful zipper pull made of lampwork glass, I absolutely love it, it's perfect and I know just how I'm going to use it. Thanks so much jonnamarco, you did a great job and this package really made my day

I rec'd today from tristanlayne89!!! She sent me the most AWESOME bag, I love it love it love it! Now you're thinking "TWO bags?!? Lucky!" And you're sort of right, because it's a reversible bag and I flipped over the fabric on the reversed side, it's perfect! This is the cute little pocket on the inside of the tote And then, she had never knitted before but decided to give it a try and made me this beautiful scarf (did you all know I love knitted things?) Thank you SO much Tristan, you did an amazing job and I love everything!

I rec'd a wonderful package today from Holistic Knitter! A Welsh slate coaster with a bird on it.......I LOvE this!!! And I seriously needed the perfect coaster to keep on my side table next to my bed (the paper it's lying on is a Welsh/English language sheet) Beautiful note cards from photos taken around where she lives (which looks so pretty). They each have envelopes too, I just forgot to put them in the picture. I'm going to frame these, I love them too much to send to someone else A celtic cross-stitch bookmark of my name and a darling little glass snowglobe that says "Merry Christmas" in Welsh on it. The dragon inside is the Welsh dragon, but at first I thought it was Barney This is a super Welsh tea-towel with recipes on it, I love it! Also, some fudge, a hard candy stick and a gorgeous knitted Welsh dragon washcloth. This is a photo of everything together, including some local newspapers & brochures of the area, a pencil and pencil sharpener, a keyring with the longest Welsh town name on it, a recipe book, a tourist-type guide about Wales, a Welsh Love Spoon magnet and the funniest thing is a bookmark made from recycled sheep poop!!! Thank you so much Holistic Knitter, this is a wonderful package and almost makes me feel like I've visited Wales!

I finally rec'd today from Aisy! She mailed it Priority on 13 August and it took them THIS long to deliver it three states away But it's here and I have pictures to prove it A really pretty necklace, I love handmade jewelry! A tiny tart (or pie?) magnet for my fridge I don't know what you call this, I call it YUMMY! It's on a real glass dish, doesn't it look real? This is a pencil/pen roll, which I've been wanting....I love pink and brown together The pencil/pen roll unrolled: The whole package together....there was a pretty box with the letter "K" on it (that's what the necklace was in), the little roses are actually a pen, a tiny cake eraser, a flowery-girly headband (that my daughter has already claimed for herself) and a package of adorable pink girly stickers Thanks so much Aisy, you did a great job on your first swap.

I rec'd today from Zombiekilla Lots of great stuff.....a kimono made of shrinky-dink type plastic, a wooden tile with a fuzzy fabric that I'm saying is a cow, two more necklace type charms, a yellow striped tag set, a rubber bracelet that says "Wildlife Warriors" on it, the CUTEST little fabric scrap with an embroidered octopus wearing headphones, a little turtle, magic cards and paper (the square in the middle) with Loteria tiles on the other side (my camera battery went dead so I only have one photo of everything) I hope I didn't forget anything. Thanks Zombiekilla!

Re: *MATURE* Monsieur Winky in Needlework: Completed Projects by OhThat

Okay, here is my latest project. I love cross stitch but I have not done a lot of cross stitching so it is far from perfect. I wanted to do something that would make me laugh every time I looked at it, so Monsieur Winky was born (I am immature sometimes ) Here he is in his frame that I found at Goodwill. I am thinking about spray painting the frame black but I am not sure. Also, do you think he needs a border around him? And yes, he does have a monocle and a mustache. to change your image viewing settings please click hereVery cute! And I had to laugh because you wrote that you're "immature sometimes" but your cool project is in the "mature" category (I'm a dork sometimes)
