Trinalocakary, I can't believe I had never heard of the plague doctors' costumes. Now, thanks to you and the web, I am a bit less ignorant. Like everybody else, I'm waiting to see the full costume.

Sheepblue, stunningly beautiful butterfly and flowers. My favorite is the butterfly, it looks ready to fly and has beautiful colors.

Quantumphysica, you have great embroidery skills. It seems you used metallic floss. i admire your work even more, I find this floss so much harder to work with.

Butterflyangel, oil painting is hard, you show that it is possible to master it. The wolf hat and mittens are fun and cute. 200 open when envelopes? I would have a difficult time finding 50 ideas of when, not even talking about what to write inside.

You are all talented and amazing!

Great job on both. I like all the details like the pens in the pocket or the fluffy top.

Very interesting technique, clearly described.
Beautiful butterfly and flower.

Smeddley, I like the idea of the tea time before Christmas. My favorite are the Jack mug rugs and pot holders.

Quantumphysica, glad to know both your health and finances are getting better. I like the embroidered bookmarks. Are you the lucky owner of one of these tempting, fantastic embroidery machines? The minions bracelet is the best.

Butterflyangel, did you paint the buildings on these paddles? They look great.

Trinalocakary, I have no idea who the plague doctor is but he seems to be living a dangerous life. You're going to have the best Halloween this year.

I would suggest using the thicker florist wire. I never saw them come undone but I always twist the wires in the stem together or a couple wires tightly around the others. The worst that happened is getting a bit out of shape, but it's easy to put it back in the shape you want.
It depends of the age of the child I guess. I remember doing this craft with 5 and 6 years old. I'm not sure it would stand the eager hands of a toddler.
