4  Anniversary Gift for my Boyfriend in Knitting: Completed Projects by lafrenteenalto on: September 01, 2009 08:13:14 AM
This past Sunday 30Th me and my boyfriend had our first anniversary. The gift consisted in a wooden box, with burned decorations filled with souvenirs (concert tickets, bus tickets, etc) from this past year and a knitted lobster (He's my lobster! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iU39sqEQOms ).
It says Pelufa because that's how our friends and family call us (I'm Pelusa, he's Rafael).

For the Lobster I used this simple and easy pattern:
http://dirigo.wordpress.com/2007/12/17/free-pattern-toy-lobster/

He was really really happy, we spent the entire day making a scrapbook with the souvenirs and a bunch of pics of this past years I printed.

I'm Sorry I'm making a second post but I got my package today at last and it's so wonderful! Here are the pictures:

The whole package,  including an envelope which contained Bob Marley songs in French! Me and Bf enjoyed guessing which songs they were.

Fantastic Tote With the words "Faith and Love" in different languages.

A great frame pendant with faith and love in French.

This drove me crrrrazy, I had a bunch of kids french books but I always have to ask my mom how to pronounce, this book has a CD so I can listen, I'm planning on reading it to my two year old niece. Cheesy

And last but not least a pin board! I love those colours ^^

I'm really really happy with my package, thank you very much!

I made her a Travelling Journal to use when she goes to Barcelona, it has useful spanish terms and interesting places in Barcelona to visit with pictures. Also a notebok with some quotes from favourite movies, bands, books, etc both in Spanish and English. A Bowtie scarf, a headband and two brooches.

Cheesy

8  Re: Show Off Your Hair! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by lafrenteenalto on: June 10, 2009 05:48:44 AM

Ehm about the dyes thing, when I dyed my hair pink, first I used Crazy color's Flamingo Pink, but it lasted mmmh, 2 weeks? and it cost me about 12 dollars (which is a lot for me to spend on my hair). And it also damaged my hair a lot. But a friend told me to just use wood dye, you know? it's a colored powder that it's used to tint wood. Even though it sounded a bit aggressive on my hair I tried it anyways, because my idea was to shave it in about a month.
It actually turned out extremely well, I mixed in a bottle of conditioner (which cost me 1 dollar) half of the tint I had bought (1 dollar) and shake shake shake.

My hair turned out as a real flamingo pink, my hair wasn't damaged as I though it would be, and the colour lasted for 2 weeks, just like the fancy dye did, with the difference that with 4 dollars instead of 24 I dyed my hair twice in a month.

Here's about a week or so from the day I dyed it.

You guys have gorgeous hair!

Mine has gone through a lot of changes, mostly when I was under 20 ha ha so almost no picture of those crazy hairs since in those days we didn't have digital cameras, so I present you my hair since 2004, skipping a lot of styles (even If digital cameras exist I have never owned one ha ha)

It has been softening over the years and now I have Half of my head with wavy brownreddish hair and the other half with short dreadlocks my bf gave me ha ha.

10  Fauxhawk hat in Knitting: Completed Projects by lafrenteenalto on: May 23, 2009 06:11:12 AM

I've wanted a hat like this for so long! I didn't use a pattern and it turned out a too small for my head so I think I'll give it to my brother.
