Props to you! Not that many people your age would get that costume unless they were a die hard Beatles fan. You sure thought outside of the box. What do you think you will be this year? Abbey Road? You could wear a black top and bottoms with yellow lines representing a road going up you with a name badge that says "Abbey"

12  Re: Twister shirt in Costumes: Discussion and Questions by thepaintinglibra on: September 22, 2008 02:15:19 PM
Here is the twister costume that one poster said they have seen before...

I would wear either a white top and skirt or dress and paint/sew the circles on it. You can attach the spiner to your head (like the costume above) or to your back or chest. I agree with the other posters, making something out of the actual game seems uncomfortable...

13  Deal Or No Deal - Cheap & Easy Halloween Costume in Halloween Costumes by thepaintinglibra on: September 18, 2008 09:11:38 PM
Looking for a cheap and easy Halloween costume this year? My boyfriend and I went as Howie and a case girl from the game show "Deal or No Deal" one year for a Hollywood theme party.

I found a fancy black halter dress and heels from Forever 21 (on sale). I wore fake diamond earings and a bracelet I got at Target. I curled my hair and fluffed it like the girls on the show. My guy already had a nice suit and borrowed a nice silky shirt and tie from his brother. He shaved his face down to a "sole" patch that howie wears. He buzzed his already short hair shorter to give it a bald look.

I found a silver briefcase on Ebay for around $15 and put a black 11 on the outside. On the inside I put the million dollars. We went around the party asking people would take the deal.

Sadly this is the ONLY picture we have of the night. I thought my camera was fully charged - but it died right after we took the ONE and ONLY picture of the night. Thank goodness because it I have it framed and on my bedside table!

The Courtney Love thing might be hard to pull off....you might have a lot of people asking who you are.

I would go with the Like a Virgin costume. That is iconic. Here is a couple costumes on the market that you can try and copy.

This one is not quite virgin madonna - but it is still super cute.

17  Re: Costume for three in Halloween Costumes by thepaintinglibra on: September 04, 2008 02:59:42 PM
Here are some suggestions:

Three Amigos (The 1986 movie with Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short.)

The Other Boleyn Girl (King Henry, Mary and Anne)

Hugh and two playboy bunnies

Gold, Silver and Bronze. You could each be an Olympic athletic on your own little podium box.

Throw back to the 80's - Ghostbusters

Mario, Lugi and Prince Toadstool

Fred, Williama and Betty - nice little caveman love triangle

Bret Michaels and his rock of love contestants

Micheal Jackson: early Micheal to present day Micheal

Doctor, Nurse and Patient

What about buying a plush flamingo (see below) and using wire, a wooden stick or pretty ribbon to straighten the legs to make the stick of the mallet?

If anything, Leg Avenue has a Flamingo purse. You might want to check your halloween shops - they are coming out with alot of costume matching purses.
