1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 40 on: November 21, 2008 04:37:00 PM
I claim mimiw for an advent star calendar.

This is my 2nd of 2 claims (0 in transit, 0 received).

I'm Grace, 21, and I live in Norfolk, VA.
My main craft is sewing, but I dabble in pretty much everything else ^_^
My parents bought me a house in August, I am currently trying to find my decorating style.
I am working on all my applications to go back to college, and I work as a nurse's aide to pay my bills in the meantime.
I have a dog, I call him Booger, he needs to stop eating my furniture. It's been in my family for as long as I have.
My favorite colors are blue, pink, and purple.
I love all things Victorian and Japanese, though deep down I also think I'm a rock star.
I live on a canned soup kind of diet, so I am a tad anemic, and therefore get cold really easily, so anything to warm me up is greatly appreciated.

Crafted Items
laptop bag
overnight bag
knit or crochet slippers, perhaps mary jane style?
slouchy hat

anything from my wists

Craft supplies
fat quarters
cutting mat
emboidery thread
roving
needle felting mat
jewelry findings
resin molds (I've had all the all supplies I need for a while now, just not any molds to play with)

Thank you to anyone who chooses me!
2  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Sweat Shoppe Holiday/Winter Swap (signups til 11/24) (send by 12/15) on: November 21, 2008 01:41:15 PM
I'm up for some wood toys, and I would love a memory wire bracelet. I like the earrings, too, but I may have to change them into a charm bracelet or something- I don't have pierced ears either.

I was thinking of offering some holiday wine charms (set of 6) or gift tags (set of 10, perhaps?). But I dunno, this is a holiday AND winter theme, so I may offer something not so Christmas-y, like armwarmers or scarves. Opinions, please?

5  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Once You Pop Rd9 - HOLIDAY Edition (SIGNUPS Oct. 25; SENDOUT Dec. 1) on: November 07, 2008 05:30:38 AM
I wanted to finish working on my swaps before I tackled this one, but now that's out of the way, I'm ready to go! I have all my supplies on hand, now if only I could get my dog to stop eating my cans.
6  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Twilight: The Movie Swap (SIGN-UPS CLOSED, MAIL BY 11-14-08) on: November 03, 2008 01:51:42 PM
I was in Borders today looking through the movie guidebook, and now I'm feeling a new surge of inspiration! I plan on holing myself up tonight to get it finished.  Cheesy

So, let me see if I have this right.

Package 1 is essentially "all about me"
and sendouts would be like
personA-->personB--> personC-->personA

Package 2 is essentially "all about the receiver"
and sendouts are reversed, so
personC-->personB-->personA-->personC

It sounds like a logistical nightmare to me, if you potentially have a lot of participants. I don't know how you would ensure compatibility for everyone.

Woo! Looks like I'm the first to receive!  Grin

I got my hoodie from mrs.dutt yesterday. I love it so much, I've been wearing it nonstop since I took it out of the box.  Cheesy She used my skullies and bunnies themes, and I asked for a lined hood, cuffs, and bottom edging, and boy did she deliver!

and she even included some extras! a yummy smelling candle in a jar, and some tangerine peach lotion:
