Whew!  Finally, after a crazy past two weeks at work (with no chance to get away to the post office) I've sent!  Hope she likes it... Grin
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Lookee! Re: Choc Unan Rd 3 Gallery of Chocolatey Goodness! on: October 11, 2008 02:25:25 PM
I just got my package from the lovely and talented whoopdedoo_5!

It included:
- a cute polar fleece cupcake scarf
- a "baked goods" pouch
- whipped chocolate soap that smells good enough to eat
- Ferrero Rocher
- Ghirardelli dark chocolate caramels

*drool* Mmm...delicious...thanks so much, Adria!
It was quite the struggle to get my husband to keep his paws off the chocolate while I was trying to take a good quality photo of it all..

What a wonderful first swap --- can't wait to send out my end this week.
3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Chocoholics Unanimous Round 3! finished! send outs were Oct 23, 2008! on: October 05, 2008 09:49:59 AM
Checking in.   Grin

I'm almost done...just need to find some decent paper glue for one of the items and pickup a little more chocolate to send and some packing supplies.  It's been fun!

Thanks so much for passing this along --- can't wait to get started, it's such a great idea!
5  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Beauty Bags For Local Women's Shelters on: September 15, 2008 08:31:22 AM
I greatly admire the initiative you took to get this going --- I would definitely be interested in getting something similar started here in my city as well, so any information and tips you have would be wonderful.  Please feel free to PM me.

Thanks,
J
6  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: ***Reusable Pads for African Women*** on: September 15, 2008 08:02:08 AM
Thanks so much for posting this --- I'm making a bunch of these for Xmas gifts (and for myself) and am totally on board with making extras to donate.
7  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: Felt Sushi Roll Pincushion on: September 07, 2008 08:21:49 PM
Thanks, all --- I'm pretty sure others have done similar ones in the past but when I recently got back into sewing (after getting a new machine) I realized that I never really had a pincushion and being the sushi-lover that I am decided to make it a cute one.  Grin

The main body is hand-sewn and the "filling" is appliqued using needle felting.
9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: little plush "aikido sensei" ornaments on: September 04, 2008 07:11:00 PM
Wonderful!  Kawaii desu ne!  I'm an Aikidoka as well and am destined to be the sensei fourth from the left in the first picture (I wear my hair in pigtails when I practice a lot of the time).   Grin
10  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 30 ENTRIES / What I "came up" with: The Naughtiest Cozy of Them All on: September 04, 2008 04:24:27 PM
For those who've crafted before us, we salute you:

Note: for the sake of modesty and our own sensibilities, that which is to be kept cozy by this item is not seen modeling said item.

Inspired by:
-the infamous "Peter Heater" and "Willy Warmer" of ye olde alt.knitting fame
and
- my husband, who asked me to tell you all that the cozy itself is actually much longer than it looks in the picture   Grin

With hope that you'll vote for me and not ban me from the forums for this.  Cry
