1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Steam-punk inspired makeup! on: August 24, 2011 06:41:15 PM
what happens when I am extremely bored and randomly get inspired??

well 2 hours later you get this!
(excuse the horrible quality, these were taken on my webcam)

it's definitely not perfect, but I think it's pretty good for being 16 and having no real training. I'm pretty proud!

thanks for looking!!! feel free to comment on what I can improve or anything!

edit- just noticed how HORRIBLE the colors are represented in these pictures, the center of the main portion of the eye mask is a warm crimson/brown fading out to black around the edges. the silver and gold both had metallic finishes however all other colors used were matte.

edit part 2- here's a picture that's a better representation of the makeup Smiley

2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / first creation post- some makeup looks on: February 04, 2011 04:11:17 PM
well, I've been lurking for a while, and wanting to post something, but it just recently dawned on me that I could post some of my makeup looks!I get bored really easily, and makeup always seems to be there to entertain me Smiley Now I'm not very good, I'm only 15 and still working on it, I someday hope to go into makeup professionally. but anyways... on to the looks!

-evil clown (yes it's supposed to look messy, and excuse the weird expression, my cousin told me to look evil...I'm bad at that xD)

-frankenstein (the oldest of these)

-my interpretation of a darker mime (yeah I'm kinda weird...)

-Winter

-pikachu!

-cherry blossom (it's kind of an abstract interpretation that I did about 20 minutes ago LOL)

http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/7381566/2/istockphoto_7381566-big-top-circus-tent.jpg

its for my mini haunted halloween attraction which will be in my back yard and themed twisted carnival

i want to have

.food and drinks for sale in booths. (ideas?)

.booths such as a "mis" fortune teller (ideas?)

.a mini freakshow haunted house style thing (what to put it in?)

.twisted carnival characters running around scaring people -

.i want to have my cousins boyfriend be the "ringleader",yes i know thats a circus haha, warning people that this is scary at the entrance. hes a very intimidating large guy)

    . clowns (my costume- http://media.photobucket.com/image/chance%20hhn/Photo292/ChanceAtHHN17.jpg)

.i want some carnival games turned evil with some weird creepy prizes.

-any other ideas?

my dad is also very handy and makes most of our halloween decorations (which include a working guillotine, stalks, and an electric chair that goes around the toilet {tehee})

8  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / twisted circus or twisted fairytale? such a hard choice on: August 30, 2008 11:08:34 AM
i want to host a halloween party this year. it will be for 13-14 year old girls. i am caught between 2 themes...twisted fairytale or twisted carnival/circus
i need to know which one you like more and i need any ideas you have for the theme you like also i need a costume. for the twisted circus i was thinking a ringleader. the only problem is when you think girl, circus ring leader you think of a black leotard with the ringleader coat and a top hat but im a bit...bigger so i dont want to wear a leotard unless i can lose at least 20 pounds in 2 months haha. so any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated!!!!!  THANK YOU!!!!!!
