Mmkay. Well. Yesterday I went to Goodwill and I found some amazing fabric! Unfortunately, it's not a big sheet or anything. They're big strips. The black and lavender pieces are about 7 feet by a foot and a half. The dark purple is about 7 feet by 2 feet 6 inches. Now, I love absolutely love this fabric and the colors and I really want to make a dress out of it. But I need advice on how to do it.
I'd like to have a poofier skirt and maybe a sweetheart neckline. What I was thinking of doing, was using the dark purple for the skirt as it's the widest, then the black for the bodice and maybe do a cascade. Unfortunately, I have no clue on where to start or even how to do this. Patterns? Advice? Anything would be very much appreciated... Especially if you've worked with long pieces and not nice normal square pieces.http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=163085&ppuser=148723
