11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bag Explosion!! Crafty themed, spooky, and a bunch of randomness [pic heavy] on: July 23, 2013 06:15:49 AM
After making a customized bag for the awesome Jennieingram I got a random urge to keep making patches and went a little crazy. I think I got to about 115+ individual patches before I decided to start piecing bags together...well that and my fabric buckets were bursting at the seams with finished patches. It was very liberating to let my imagination wander and go crazy with it. Here's a bunch of finished bags, a few with specific themes and a bunch without. I also used some hand screen printed fabrics I received in the recent Printed Fabric swap, and installed magnetic buttons for the first time successfully!

The crafty theme, how could I have not done this before??

A second crafty bag, a little smaller, a little cuter?

Something a little spooky, all sorts of creepy type inspiration.

A bunch of random bags...

Hopefully I didn't just crash your computer.  Roll Eyes Enjoy!

13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Doctor Who bag, a new generation on: July 12, 2013 04:23:36 AM
I was asked by a really nice lady to make a Doctor Who bag for her daughter's birthday and how could I say no? I decided to include some new patches that make reference to some of the older seasons, and also to the newest!

14  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / New screen printed Fat Quarters! Rabbits and foxes and daleks, oh my! on: June 16, 2013 09:50:58 AM
I've been printing my own fat quarters for a while now and have made a bunch of new ones, some inspired by partners in the recent Fabric Printing Swap. I've done a bunch more Doctor Who and Harry Potter themed prints, and then some fun foxes, rabbits, squids and more  Grin Which one is your favorite? I can't pick mine  Smiley

15  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 87 ENTRIES / Circles, a pretty geometry lesson on: June 10, 2013 03:23:35 PM
I was inspired by beautiful geometric art to make this hoop. It features a circle within a circle and rays emitting from certain points within the inner circle.

16  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Portraits in a Bag - Teesha Moore to the next level on: June 06, 2013 05:27:26 PM
I recently was lucky enough to swap with the fantastic Jennieingram who asked if I could possibly make a bag incorporating many of her loves. I was very excited to rise to the challenge and it came together wonderfully. I sometimes find mixing themes to be a bit challenging to make all the patches look like they belong on the same bag, but I really think this worked out well. I really hope to get the chance to make more of these "portrait" style bags.

Some of the themes I incoporated in this bag are Harry Potter, Doctor Who, tea, crafting, celtic knots, art nouveau, flying keys/clocks, among other things.

17  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Arrested Development patchwork wall hanging on: June 05, 2013 04:27:59 AM
This is my first foray into making wall hangings with the Teesha Moore style patches, but I'd like to think it turned out pretty well. I was inspired by Arrested Development which I have only recently fell in love with  Smiley I love a show with amazing quotes.

19  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 86 ENTRIES / Gnome Alone - Beware the Hoopla on: May 02, 2013 04:20:58 AM
I can't believe I never posted this before outside of the gallery, but in any case, I made a hoopla for the fantastic erica_tattoos in the 6th Round of the Embroidery Hoopla swap. She listed gnomes as a theme, and I stalked her to find out she likes zombies as well, so could a more perfect match be made? Of course not.

I used a bit of fabric paint to give the guts a bit more of a juicy feeling  Cheesy

In this swap we will be making a Fat Quarter (18 inches by 22 inches) of original one-of-a-kind printed fabric for our partners. We are only going to swap the FQ, no extras required, so we can focus on making awesome prints! If partners agree you may send a larger piece of printed fabric and/or extras, but they are not required and you must check with your partner to see if it is ok. You can choose between having one or two partners, and there are a world of choices when it comes to technique and materials! Feel free to experiment with screen printing, block prints, monoprints, potato printing, and any other form of printing under the sun.

Also please make sure that what  you send to your partner(s) is color-fast and will survive future trips through the laundry.

Everyone needs to keep in contact both with the organizer and their partner; please try to post to the thread at least once a week to let us know how you're doing and please don’t leave your partner or myself hanging if we PM you!

Please make sure you post in this thread for updates as soon as you sign-up/think about signing up.

Organizer's Note: I reserve the right to refuse anyone. If you have feedback that shows a history of very late sending, ill-communication, incomplete packages, lack of DC#'s, etc. I may refuse you. I want this to be a flake-free swap.
