4101  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Massive amounts of pendants on: September 28, 2009 02:07:52 PM
wow! the octopus line is so clever! when i finally get around to experimenting with some sculpey i might have to give those a try. what a clever and ingenious idea!

I posted a tute on how to make the tentacle pendants over on the poly clay board for anyone that wants to give it a try  Wink It's really not difficult, just requires patience.

I see my tentacles! (The dark purple-y one with the red suckers now belongs to me). Smiley

Good job on all of them SheepBlue! The altered art ones are neat, and I hadn't seen those already in the Pendant Swap so I'm especially delighted by them. And did you know you know have 2 hot new topics?

Hehe, I did notice I have two hot topics. It's pretty rare for me, but all the comments are really awesome and I'm glad that something I love so much is equally loved by many on craftster. The altered art pendants didn't make the cut for the pendant swap (although they almost did). The one with the half face I had to keep for myself and the other ones just weren't right (and also sadly I didn't have any more scrapbooking bubbles so I didn't think they looked as finished as the other ones).

Absolutely fabulous!
I think it's official...I have a craftster crush on you! Wink

Aww, my first craftster crush. I'm blushing  Cheesy

Wow. These are really really good. Are they based on a story or anything?

None of these are based on any stories. I just love art and characters that are more than just the norm which I think all of these demonstrate LOL. I love that they're whimsical and fun. And the fact that you can just look at it and kind of make up a story in your head just from the image itself.

These are beautiful! Are you selling any more?   Huh

I've never sold any of these and don't plan to. I made them for fun and put them in my STS as well as for Christmas gifts.

4107  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Nintendo takes over your tree!!! on: September 27, 2009 02:43:57 PM
After making my owl ornaments I started getting nostalgic for old school nintendo games and thus these babies were born. I wish I had Mario world from 64 that I had back in the day; that was a pretty fun game...

4108  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Shop the Swap 30 **Discussion Thread** on: September 27, 2009 02:36:26 PM
I started making a few small projects here and there when I got bored with my current projects and I just couldn't wait until the next round to post them to my shop! They're too cute hehe.

The framed silhouettes were too small to really fill up the book boards and fit perfectly in these frames I had. Also all the talk about Mario games and characters got me feeling rather nostalgic and I couldn't not make these ornaments  Grin

Just as an fyi too, I'll be going on a trip back home for a week on the 5th so my shop will be closed up for a while and if you want to put in any claims doing so sooner than later is best so I can be sure to ship out before I go.

I'm sad that the weekend is almost over already, but its that much less time til I visit home and family and friends. I'm looking forward to it  Grin

amazing stuff - all I can think of is spending hours cutting and making a terrible mistake right at the end! Cheesy There are so many I love I can't pick a favorite!

Although thankfully I have yet to cut off any vital limbs or pieces to any of these, the nice thing is you can always reassemble it on the board and as you glue it down, magically reattach!  Grin

OMG. These are the most beautiful things I have seen in a long, long time. They're absolutely lovely. Have you ever seen Michel Ocelot's "Prince et Princess"? He uses fairy-tale like silhouette animations much like yours to tell stories... If you haven't, please check it out sometime! I love Ocelot SO much, and your paintings remind me of them. Ugh, I love your things so much. Ahghh. Sorry I'm not usually like this but they're so pretty and evoke all these emotions for me...

Wow, I'm honored. I'm glad you like them  Smiley
