I had a coupon but couldn't bring myself to buy something I know I could make even better, even at a discount.

I just got back from Joann's and didn't buy anything! I'm amazed. The item that I wanted to purchase was ridiculously expensive and I know I can make a better one so I'm going to make one!

I'm glad you like your pencil roll, sheepBlue!  There is a little pocket on the outside to hide your sharpener in!  I meant to include one and then forgot!    Keep making cards because EVERYONE loves them!

I will  I forgot to mention the pocket though I did notice it. It'll be great for my erasers too.

I received from addicted2knitting (aka A2K) and I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVE EE everything. She hit everything on the nail.

Here's a picture of the pencil roll she claimed me for. I flipped it so you could see both fabrics she used, both cute owl fabrics - the one on the outside is a teacher  And the one used on the inside is just a hoot 



Then on the inside the flap flips up to prevent any mischievous pencils from escaping and revealed that there was a little surprise of PRISMACOLOR pencils!!! I've never owned any before but the few times I used them they were dreamy. Thank you so much!!!



A2K also thoughtfully provided some extras - two packs of cards and envelops!!! I knew I shouldn't have, but I ran out last Friday to the craft store and stumbled upon a pack of 50 cards and envelops on sale and bought them. Now, three days later I'm almost out of cards, so this package came just in the nick of time!  Also there was some candy and a cute Monsters Inc toy (I'm trying to remember the character's name, I remember Sully but not the Billy Crystal character!!!)
