721  Re: Pendant Swap Round 2 Gallery in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by sheepBlue on: December 30, 2009 04:33:39 PM
I'm about to post pictures of the pendant psyche sent to me!! I got it last week before Christmas and since then things have been a little hectic with the hoildays and work. Brb!

I got this awesome spiral pendant that has a cool purply metallic sheen to it. She was also really thoughtful and sent along some POGS!!!  Grin I haven't found any still but these will definitely be put to good use. Thanks so much psyche!

Also a big thanks to the organizers  Cheesy This was a really fun swap!

722  Button Tree Pincushion in Needlework: Completed Projects by sheepBlue on: December 24, 2009 11:57:29 AM
I made this pin cushion and am completely in love with it  Cheesy It's going to a fellow craftster for xmas and I hope she loves it too! It's been a while since I've made any forays into embroidery proper (I find cross stitch so much easier) and it was fun. I'm planning one or two more pieces now hehe.

723  Altered holiday ornaments in Winter Holidays by sheepBlue on: December 19, 2009 06:55:25 AM
I've made dotees or altered dolls in the past and thought "well why not turn them into ornaments." I had to scale down the size I usually go with but it worked out pretty well I think  Smiley None are exactly alike.

I've almost never had a problem wisting from a gallery before though I am using Firefox.

Pseduo_pix is having some trouble with her internet connection so I thought I'd put up some pictures for her to keep you guys salivating  Smiley

Some mixed media ornaments that she could use year round if desired

An altered puzzle (hard to part with)

A stenciled shirt from her craftster favorites list  Smiley

Of course I couldn't resist sending stamps that I thought she would like  Smiley

And here's a close-up of the advent garland I made her (it was hard to get a good overall shot - hopefully pseudo can do better when her internet connection is up - all 24 pouches were hand sewn and stuffed with either candy or goodies made by me!

Also I have to include an obligatory shot of the card I made her, which is also my xmas card for this year (and my first lol).

I hope you liked it all pseudo!

726  Ahhhhh! The snowmen attack!! This year's xmas card in Winter Holidays by sheepBlue on: December 16, 2009 06:09:02 PM
I have attempted many times to make xmas cards and usually lose steam and inspiration before finishing it all to even send out but I guess this year all it took was a little off-beat inspiration haha. Watch out for those snowmen!

I got a replacement pendant from twistedbeader after my first one went MIA. Thank you so much. It's really cool because its double-sided so I can switch it depending on my mood

Thanks!!  Cheesy

728  MY altered puzzle Volume 2.0 in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sheepBlue on: December 16, 2009 05:58:10 PM
I've made a couple of altered puzzles before and I think with each one I improve a bit. Here's my latest for the STS Holiday swap. I had so much fun with this one

Here's a few of my favorites close up; amusing abe, star girl, love sax, scissors cutting, and the giggle

I did each piece separately and completely at random so they are oriented any and all ways; I really love how the color came together.

I'd love to hear what everyone thinks  Smiley

Alright Ladies!!!!! Let the show begin!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin

First of all my secret swapper is toooo awesome  Cheesy All of the items were wrapped in pretty rainbow paper (I think she must have caught onto my love of COLOR!  Wink). The first thing I opened were these BEAUTIFULLLLLLLL felted bag and pouch. The bigger one is for my tampons at work hehe, she said she loved my story about how I keep them in an old cracker box and thought I could use this one. The smaller one is for my cell phone and it fits perfectly  Cheesy It should since she stalked me out and looked up the exact measurements to make it haha. I am so smitten with the color combo here, I keep pulling it out and looking at it. And its so soft too. I love them so much! I've never gotten anything felted before.  Grin

Next I pulled out GORGEOUS handspun that's really chunky and soft. Both are Faulkland wool; the one on the left is dyed by lapoli and the one on the right is dyed by my stalker!  Grin So pretty! I'm definitely going to add one to my blanket, but I think I might save the second one to make a really pretty scarf or hat out of.  Grin Grin

The final thing I opened was this really funky bright neckwarmer with an awesome handmade button (I think). It totally fits my style perfectly and I love it. Even the pink fits well with the rest of the colors  Wink

Thank you thank you thank you stalker!  Cheesy

I was cruzing my local favorite thrift shop and saw these!!!

It instantly reminded me of ZS. They're only about a foot tall and sell for $1. Too cute lol.
