I really wanted to share with you guys something magical that happened to me tonight.

....
..
.

I am rich in YARNS!!!!

I just received this bountiful hoard from penguino and pseudo_pix in personal swaps but you know it's all going straight to my blanket hehe. I just claimed yarn from lapoli too  Grin So excited. I love it.

It's been a while since I checked in on this thread and everyone's puzzles are looking awesome  Cheesy I just wanted to share one that I made recently for a personal swap

I used a sponge for the edges this time and I'll never get tired of that faded look. Too cool hehe.

I just received a boatload of awesomeness from freestyle!!!! I can't believe you sent all this to me  Grin Grin Grin

Check out this beautiful group shot

In additional to the two skins she spun for me, she threw in 4 more!!! as samples to use in my blanket. I am in love. You guys have turned me into a hardcore fiber junkie.

I took another progress shot for fun. I'll totally have to do another when I add one these yarns

Its about double what I took last time. I should have some handspun coming from penguino too that we did a personal swap for that I am sooooo excited.

You guys rock!

I meant to post these awesome screenprinted shirts earlier that I got from kitschkween but they're one of Chris' xmas presents so I had to wait until I could find a moment when he wouldn't be around the house to take pictures!

The second one is a reference to Ace Ventura:When Nature Calls a favorite movie of ours, that he quotes a lot! lol. Thanks so much KK! You did an awesome job  Grin

Thought I'd show off the beginning of the oft-spoken of blanket of doom!!! Here it is lounging in the shower....well it was really the only place to show how long it is. And that is the width! I think of it as my super huge scarf blanket because its really basic crochet, but it is going to be awesome. I put it as thumbnails so as to not spam up everyone's computer screens. There are 5 different yarns so far, with contributions from UntouchableFace, MLF and penguino!  Grin And I'm going to be getting some handspun from freestyle soon too (and more from UF!), as well as scraps from Twiz! Its totally going to be a STS blanket now too hehe.

698  Re: STS Community Holiday Appreciation Swap (Signup 11/02-11/06; SEND 12/07) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by sheepBlue on: November 13, 2009 10:07:23 AM
Whoa when you chat you seriously chat LOL

Though I already knew this lol Just getting kinda funny having to hit the Post button multiple times to try and get a word in edgewise.

Oooh SH you brought up the p-word. I LOVE pumpkin pie. And apple. Every year I have a struggle within me whether to have pumpkin pie first or apple pie a la mode. Sooooo good. Of course both must be consumed at some point to make it a complete holiday.

Growing up my parents weren't HUGE decorators; a simple wreath on the door, a Christmas tree with ornaments either made by us or passed down through the family, and stockings. Maybe a couple of holiday art pieces put out on the tables. My grandmother always went all-out with a more traditional style of decorating. Chris' parents are a lot like that too. But since we've gotten our own place we pretty much have nothing in the way of decorating - but honestly I'm not huge on the decorating aspect. I love the holiday, but just not all the stuff you have to put out and then clean up and put away lol. So I guess I'm a grinch haha. I still love presents  Grin

I am really really proud of this stamp  Cheesy I carved it custom for Eliea based off of her craft logo  Smiley Smiley It's not really smudgy looking like that. I wiggled it by accident when I made the print.
