11  Re: 50 Projects 2015 --POST YOUR 2015 Lists in Craftalongs by sheepBlue on: April 15, 2015 04:10:03 PM
Thanks everyone! I had a lot of fun making it  Cheesy

Bunny - love the last pendant especially. Something about skeleton keys is so appealing to me. It works wonderfully with the focal piece above it.

I have another post to share today. This is a project I completed about 2 weeks ago now, but only just recently attempted to get pictures done. Found another use for my screen printing supplies - scarves! So many scarves, it took forever to get all the printing done. I actually did a total of 25 scarves but a large chunk of them were for a commission job that got shipped off already.

There are a few more at the post.

12  Doctor Who and Harry Potter Fandom scarves in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by sheepBlue on: April 15, 2015 04:02:59 PM
I've been looking for new ways to use my screen printing equipment so I decided to branch out and print up some scarves! They're all a light cotton that took to printing beautifully. Unfortunately I didn't have anyone available so had to play the model myself - trying to get good pictures to show off the scarves was definitely a challenge! I hope you like them  Smiley

I finally finished my ode to The Doctor and his wonderful wacky closet...or at least what I imagine might be in it.

Way more pictures at the project post  Smiley

Here's what I did with those barbie shoes!

Apparently they got lost, and then found again in the Doctor's Closet  Wink Belonged to River Song the whole time. She's secretly a pink girl.

15  Did you ever wonder what the Doctor's closet might look like? in Completed Projects by sheepBlue on: April 15, 2015 05:10:01 AM
Maybe it's something like this...

I mean, where else would he put his spare paintings and bowties and extra hand? It only makes sense.

I repurposed a simple wood box found at Michael's, giving it an uneven Tardis blue staining.

Some of the items even come out and can be used to decorate your own tiny humble abode.

Don't forget your extra screwdrivers!

Even the Doctor has boxes of what seem like random junk. Good to know he's only huma....errr...right.

Also included: a spare spare key, emergency party bananas, a copy of Summer Falls and An Angel's Kiss, *gasp* TWO Weeping Angel children (how did they get there! Don't Blink!), River Song's party heels, a tropical umbrella (you never know when you're going to need festively bright umbrella), a portrait of River Song, Vincent's hat, the Doctor's fez, an extra Christmas tree decoration, an extra psychic paper book, a copy of the Don't Blink tapes on disc, oh, and a sword. Because the Doctor might need a sword someday...for some reason...

I hope you enjoyed this delightfully voyeuristic look into the depths of the Doctor's closet. One of them at least.

20  Re: Be AWESOME (Redux) GALLERY! (Sendout March 23) in The Swap Gallery by sheepBlue on: March 25, 2015 05:01:03 PM
cranky pants is genius! I'm totally intimidated by any mechinized crafts so MistressT - you win!

the junker jane dolls are so rustically beautiful! I love that sort of stitching and the story that goes along with is perfect for these characters  Smiley

the muse wands are beautiful! I love the eyes at the top!

So I received my package today from sloth003 and I can honestly say I was speechless. It is the most epic, most insane, most......bllahhhalfakdjfaljfds crazy swap thing I've ever gotten. I am not worthy.

sloth is one of the reigning quilting royalty around here and this can only further cement her TOTAL DOMINATION!

A FREAKING QUEEN SIZED QUILT! Not only that but its inspired by an awesome piece of art I had pinned (credit to etsy artist whiteoctopus for the original art inspiration) which I love because it's geometric and fractal-ly and has octopus tentacles...I could go on  Grin

sloth said that I had mentioned an old crazy quilt my mom made that I loved, when growing up, and subtly did that with this quilt as well using a tremendous amount of different fabrics. I am in love! I'm a scrappy person at heart and this makes me happy.

Also, I know it's made to fit my bed, but I don't know that I can bear to sleep with this. This is a thing that should be hung on a wall to be admired and petted and shown off. Me and my bf are starting to look for a house for the first time and I think vaulted ceilings have just been added to my must have list so that I can hang this up properly to show off!

sloth, I have loved getting to know you and am so honored that you made this epic piece of art for me. It will be treasured for a very very long time to come. Who knows, maybe if I ever have kids, this will end up being the crazy quilt that they grow up with that their mom said was made by a mad genius who had little regard for her own sanity but epic talent coming out of her pinky fingers  Wink You rock lady.

P.S. This pictures so don't do justice to this quilt. sloth if you have better pictures please please post them. Or at least give this treasure it's own post!
