1  She wished for a horse in Crochet: Completed Projects by Taramor on: May 07, 2016 03:16:19 AM
My niece had her konfirmation 24th of April. In the beginning of March she told me, she Would like to have a curtain with a horse as a gift for the occasion. I really had to push myself to get it done on time.
And of course - when it all was done, and all the aunties was looking at it - i spotted a fault, in the middle of it all. I suppose all of you Can see it, but I didn't before it was to late. I offered to unravel it and do it again, but she didn't want me to. I don't know if I should insist, or let it be.
And

I haven't Been on Crafters for a couple of  weeks - oh so much to catch up on! So Many lovely tings.
But I spent my time offline well, I have finished my double-helix scarf. It took me around 9 weeks, i started at New Year and finished the 6th of March. I had to push myself to get it finished while it still was scarf-weather. And I found out it is  not  possible to knit that pattern while watching 'Game of Thrones' - a nice show about penguins is more it.
It is 165 cm, 22 rapports.

It Will tanke me a very long time to finish this scarf, so I wanted to show you my progress so far.
The pattern is a DNA double helix, which my daugther liked very much. But i'm not that experienced a knitter, so it is hard work   Smiley

I would like to join - I kind of fall of the wagon this year, but hope to do better in 2016. But I wont set a fixed goal - just se how much I will be able to do.

1. DNA scarf for my daughter (knitted)

. 17.1.16 38 cm, 5 rapports.

Finished the 6th of March. 165 cm, 22 rapports.

2. A pair of socks,  for my daugther, too.

3. A curtain for my niece for her konfirmation. 95x65 cm. DMC Blanc 40' nede 1,5.

4. A book for my Best frikendes 60th birthday. I am sure she has allways wanted to be a character in one of the trashy western novels, we Reading, when we were yong.

6  Dancing 9-patchs in Quilting: Completed Projects by Taramor on: February 11, 2015 07:51:22 AM
A destashing project I worked on for most of 2014. I used Bonnie Hunters tutorial for 'dancing 9-patch', and really liked the design.
It is warm and lovely here in the wintertime.

And the backside:

7  Quilt for Jessica in Quilting: Completed Projects by Taramor on: February 11, 2015 07:42:23 AM
Here is a quilt, which turned out rather different than planned. It is for a dear friend of mine, and I have worked on it for over a year. Mostly because I had to redo most of it several times  Embarrassed. At last I hope she will like the result.
At first I wanted to make 'A trip around the world' quilt, but it was impossible for me to match all those corners, so I decided to make a simpler design by separating the blocks with solid triangles.
Jessica likes red and purple, but I found it needed some contrast to set it of. So I decided on triangles in blue/teal as well as pink. I played around with it a bit, and decided at last to have the blue in the middle and the pink around the edge.
The quilt was meant as a destashing project, but I had to bye the blue/teal fabric.

I would like to join again.

Not much of a list - but some WIP's

1. hexagon blanket, started in '13
2. quilt with leaves
3. quilt: "bricks and stepping stones"
4. house shoes

Ideas
Funny socks with many colours

Have materials, just need to do the work:
- black leggings
- PJ pants
- T-shirt for DH
- Duvet and pillow covers for Tara

I don't think I will write my plans here - they just makes me feel guilty, if I don't make them. So only works I have started on, or finished.

DONE:

1. PJ's

2. Doll quilt
