1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Unknown crochet symbol on: May 22, 2013 08:15:12 AM
Hi all,

I hope someone can help me out here. When I went to Japan, I bought several Japanese crochet books. Seen as they always include a chart I thought that the language difference wouldn't be a problem. The project I'm doing right now, though, has a stitch in it that I have never seen before and that I have not found on any stitch-overview-lists yet. It's the lowest one on the first picture: It looks like a half-double crochet with 2 chains, between two normal single crochets. I've also included a photo of it in the pattern itself.

Anyone know the name of the stitch, or perhaps even how to make it?
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Squary scarf on: October 04, 2008 08:43:19 AM
First scarf ever and I love it.  Smiley It's a bit too wide, but still manageable, so I don't mind. It took me five balls of white wool to get it to a decent lenght, pfff. I thought making my own scarf would be less expensive than buying one, but I'm not so sure now. Tongue But it's way cooler to be able to say I made it myself.

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Wooden wave on: October 04, 2008 08:04:44 AM
I'm going to try woodcarving soon, when I finally manage to get the right wood. I was just fooling around a bit a while back though, trying to make a nice wave. My father wanted to make a picture of it, which I thought was a bit foolish, it were just a few curls, but I like how it turned out. Smiley I might print it on canvas in a while, if I still like it.
