1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My current journal/planner on: February 23, 2011 11:25:09 PM
It has taken me forever to post this, but this is the journal/planner I am currently using. I need to make another one soon, so any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated!

The right-side pages are formatted in word, the left-side pages are deliberately left blank so that I can draw, write, paint, or do whatever I feel like.

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Handmade planner/journal on: May 30, 2010 07:42:07 PM
This is my latest planner/journal that I have made, and probably my favorite ever.

The planner pages were designed in Word. Each week has a weekly planner two-page spread,

followed by a two-page spread for each day, and I use the blank page for writing, art journaling, or notes.

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Earring organizer on: February 24, 2010 11:09:42 PM
I needed a quick, cheap way to organize my growing collection of handmade french wire earrings.

The organizer is made of heavy cardstock, mounted on foam tape to raise it from the backing paper. I punched holes about every inch with a small eyelet setter, and decorated with scrapbooking supplies.

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / New chainmaille earrings + gift idea on: February 24, 2010 11:05:22 PM
These are a couple of pairs of earrings I made for a friend as a gift.

Lately I have been giving these kinds of gifts as shown. I make a small card from scrpabooking supplies, and punch holes in the front using a small eyelet setter. I can add a message inside, and the card stands by itself.

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Chainmaille cuffs on: April 19, 2008 04:22:10 PM
These are my second and third attempts at chainmaille, respectively. The first attempt was a swap gift, and involved lots of swearing. These went better.

All the rings were hand cut, using a 3.5mm knitting needle as a mandrel. The cuff is short, because it was a gift for my son, who is 7 - he thinks chainmaille is cool. Now my older son wants one, too.

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Valentine gift bookmark on: February 01, 2008 05:49:37 PM
These are easy and useful gifts for Valentine's. Best of all, they don't fall out of your book as other bookmarks tend to. For a regular spiral, they tend to hold better the more spirals you turn.

An action shot

Sorry for the blurriness, can't get me photos any clearer.

I used about 18 guage wire, and lightly hammered it for strength.
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Alien pinata on: November 04, 2007 01:01:52 AM
It's pretty much become a tradition that I make a pinata for every major holiday, but I like to keep them simple. This has got to be the easiest yet.

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and so is my (almost) seven year old son (the only person I was really aiming to please).

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / ABC book on: January 30, 2007 01:20:41 AM
My kids speak English as a second language, so I made them a personalized ABC book to help teach letters. It was also a great way to get rid of cheesy stickers that people sent me because they know I do scrapbooks for my kids... Tongue

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Beaded coptic stitch day planner on: January 30, 2007 01:07:05 AM
Wanted a small day planner for my purse, and of course couldn't find exactly what I wanted... Angry

I beaded the design on linen, and used mixed papers with dates, etc. printed off my computer.

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wire knitting experiments on: January 30, 2007 12:58:04 AM
I wanted to try my hand at knitting with wire. Still deciding if I like the outcome...

The bracelet at left is flat knitted, using seed and glass beads. I thought about sewing it to a cloth cuff so that it would show up better...

The other was knitted on a spool. Might have to try this again with very small beads (otherwise they won't go through the spool).
