1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / whoever said polka dots weren't rad... on: January 17, 2007 07:38:35 PM
...was greatly mistaken.
so, it's been a rather long while i've posted anything here, and i'm proud to say i finally got off my butt and MADE something.

this purse was a product of some random ideas and a LOT of fabric left from a dress project long dead.
now, pictures!

here's the front of the bag, please excuse the crappy pics as i just got my new camera and i'm not all that great with it yet.

you can't really tell, but it's got a little flap pocket on the front, with the actual pocket sandwiched inside the bag. im not sure that made any sense...
anyhow, here's the inside of the bag with a bunch of my crap in it meant to show scale but failing that, it's about 9"x12"x2.5"(it has a gusset and the bottom is rounded at the corners)

it's a bit too big for me (as you can see with all my stuff just thrown in it) and with figuring out that tricky pocket on the front, i completely spaced out and didn't put any other pockets in!
i'm pretty proud of it, and thinking of selling it/ more like it. If anyone could tell about how much you'd pay for it, and maybe any changes i should make (besides putting in more pockets ovbiously Tongue) that'd be great too!
thanks for looking!

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Patterns??? on: July 03, 2005 07:50:28 PM
I wanna start embroidering, but I need to find some patterns, preferably, FREE patterns... because, being 13 means you have a REALLY limited craft fund... anywhere that I could get simple, free patterns would be great!
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Tinkerbell/ Peter Pan Swap, anyone??? on: June 17, 2005 02:24:26 PM
OK so I am like COMPLETELY obessed with Tinkerbell (or Tinky Bells, as I used to say. hehe) She's just awesome, and plus when I was little I loved faries and when I saw Peter Pan, Tinkerbell became my new favorite cartoon character. I was thinking it would be cool to have like a Peter Pan or Tinkerbell themed swap, probably just 7 or 8 people, sometime in like mid July. If anyone's interested, let me know and we'll see what happens!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / "lost in thought" halter on: June 08, 2005 03:30:08 PM
OK so I had this shirt, it was plain white and I didn't really like it, but the message ('LOST IN THOUGHT, please send search party'). I have been totally obsessed with halters lately, so I decided that this shirt would make a really cute one..

It ties with a black ribbon, and the sides have knots going all the way up (I used them to resize it, sewing machine was on the fritz)

Comments appreciated!!!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Yay! My First Shirt!!! Yet Another Safety Pin Corset! on: June 06, 2005 08:46:05 PM
OK so this is my first shirt and I'm very sentimental about it. Very. I used this pattern: http://www.shemadethis.com/articles/corset.htm My shirt has some variations in that, 1) I didn't use Grommets, and 2) that It was made from a Tshirt and not from scratch.. i think it came out pretty well despite its ghetto- fabulousness... OOh and it's got 2 uses!!! It can be a Tank top.....

 Or a Halter!!!!

Ps. please excuse my large amounts of Gilatinous-ness, I swear it's not that bad lol... but what can I say, photography isn't my strong suit...
Comments and whatnot appreciated!

9  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Cd Swap-made, not bought! - signup closed ; send by feb 1/05 on: January 05, 2005 07:52:56 AM
Ok I've decided I want to start a swap because I'm always a day late and a dollar short when I join someone else's. OK so I'm thinking a limit of about 7 people, 1 cd apeice.
So that means you'd have to make 7 cd's and send them. Please post and let me know. The 1st 7 people to post will be the swap members.
Also, each CD needs to have a unifying theme, IE breakup songs, love songs, whatever. BNe creative! And try and make sure that there are different kinds of music on it, so that a metalhead won't have an all Rap cd, or vica versa.

Attention!!!! The swap has the limit of participants signed up!
Address list will be recieved in your email by Wednesday, january 12th!!!!! However, I will still give lots of time to ship! ALL CD"S NEED TO BE SENT BY FEBRUARY 1ST!!!!!!!

name: 1stest ever CD Swap!
organizer: sexy_penguin_
send date: by February 1st
signup deadline: January 15 (the 1st 7 VALID and eligible-not suspended- posts will be PM'ed or emailed with address list around January 20th)

Participant Limit: 7 people

International?: Yes, but no more that 3 due to postage costs

All ages?: yes

Swap Requirements: Each participant needs to pick ONE theme for the CD, and make a list of as many as you can fit on the CD (minimum of 12 unless you can't possibly fit more). You'll need to have 6 copies of this CD, one to send to each other member of the swap. The cover of the CD also needs to be decorated somehow to fit the theme of the CD.
