I am silently coveting these various typefaces! Are you at liberty to divulge their sources?

Click on this link - http://www.amazon.com/Hawkins-Alphabets-Complete-American-Needlework/dp/0881952745 and it will show you the pattern book I used.

Thaaaaank you

3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Earring Binge Round 6 on: July 26, 2007 09:50:31 AM
Hey everybody!

Sorry about the radio silence, Life's been hectic, etc, etc... but here are some pictures!

From A Capitol Idea, these great multicolored ones

From StarFire, this gorgeous pair!

From jenn1519, who was awesome enough to send me a bonus pair, these beauties.  (I LOVE the coffee colored ones!)

As far as the ones I sent out, A Capitol Idea has better pictures of the feathery ones I made for her, but here are the paper ones I sent off to MargiePoo and jenn1519.

Thanks for the great earrings, guys!  I had a lot of fun, both with the making and the receiving, hehe.

PS: teddybearbones, those pirate earrings are wonderfully kickass.

(wishing i could be a hippie cornhusk girl too...)

well, i wonder if you could coat it in.....nailpolish or something?  something sealing....it would look a little plastic-y, i think.  thats so sad! Embarrassed

That is so beautiful! I love it.

How long did it take to dry? And about how many husks did you use? (what ever measurement you would like)

actually, it didnt take long to dry at all...well, im just assuming this since basically i tied it to my window blinds and waited for the submission deadline to come around!

and it didnt take that many husks at all.  one ear of corn, at most, probably. of course, i dont really know, since i just salvaged some from a pile.   i knit mine in really thin strips.
