1  oktoberfest 2008! in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by cynabon26 on: February 27, 2010 01:34:12 AM
yay new layout! it was really scary because i had never done so many contrasting patterns on the layout before! less is usually more with me, but i went for it! it was really fun and I highly recommend it.

my crazy cluster of random crap. hehe. is it just me, or is it whenever someone laughs and spells it "hehe" it makes it sound like old-man creepy?

i really wanted the white cardstock to be a piece of lace, but i was fresh out of lace Sad
it felt like the whole project was getting a little left-heavy (lol), so i added some brads to the right side of the photo to help balance the layout Cheesy

thanks for looking! comment & tell me what ya think!

2  easy summery birthday layout in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by cynabon26 on: February 25, 2010 09:59:38 AM
this was for my sister's 10th birthday. double digits were VERY exciting!

bit of twill for candles, orange rhinestones for flames Smiley

i wanted to change the texture of the title for the number 10, but really didn't want to change the color, so i used rubons (they're really letters, a lowercase "L" and an "O" Cheesy)

thanks for looking!

3  girls night out! in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by cynabon26 on: January 06, 2010 12:59:11 PM
I took this first picture at night, so it looks a bit yellower than it really is. i LOVE glitter, but wanted to try something different, so instead i used sequins to outline my title block as well as underline my journaling at the bottom.  the next day, i hated the unfinished look of the red sequins at the end, so i later went back and tucked the ends back under.

all the girl embellishments seemed to be hot pink or equally girly color, so i took my permanent marker and glitter glue and made them match my layout.

and finally, some transparency paper and some more permanent marker and glitter glue, tada!

thanks for looking, i hope you enjoyed it Cheesy

4  Vegas! in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by cynabon26 on: January 06, 2010 12:39:05 PM
Our friends and I went to Last Vegas for the 4th of July this past year, and our favorite part was simply doing nothing and laying out by the pool!

i really like using black and white photos because it doesn't really constrict you to using any color scheme you want.
i do like my geometric layouts, very horizontal and vertical for sure. i found these really cute buttons that were vegas themed, so i cut the backs off and glued them as embellishments! plus, i love glitter Smiley

thanks for looking!!!!

5  Layout-o Magnifico! Geometric Shapes in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by cynabon26 on: November 01, 2009 11:07:02 PM
so, this is more back to my style of scrapbooking; neat, even (i'd like to think!) and not too wild.  i've been on a ribbon kick lately and here is installment number 3 of the journey.  the picture is actually from this past may.  a few of us went to go see the no doubt reunion tour, which was amazing!  what a great picture to use for the whole year than one of me at the epitome of happiness Smiley

i know you can bareeeely tell, but i used crystal gems as the dots after "I love..."

My other love is eyelets.  LOVE them. & i've been liking the look of staples for some reason?  do YOU like them? hate them? let me know!

& puffy paint for some dimension!!!

thanks for looking, please comment! Cheesy

6  Layered Ribbon as your Background. in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by cynabon26 on: October 02, 2009 02:15:30 PM
My roommate & I went to the San Diego Fair & took these silly photobooth pics. After we got our faces painted, no less Cheesy.

I love it because this was my first time using plain white cardstock as my background.  I had to resist the urge to use patterned paper, and use ribbon to add color and texture.  At the end I actually ended up painting a light border around the page, so I gave in a little!

I love the little blue dots & rub-ons on the photo.

I cut out and painted some patterned paper and added a button for some buckness. Lol.
Thanks for looking!

7  my bff is... in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by cynabon26 on: October 01, 2009 05:23:21 PM
I absolutely love this girl.  Which is why I had to make a layout that encompassed the special person that she is.

This was my first time using chipboard letters... you actually will be able to tell now that I say this, but there was only one "F", so I ended up creating a second one by cutting it freehand out of the remaining chipboard.  I also handpainted the flower embellishment since nothing really matched my color scheme...

I also used these white stick on brads... you get the same look and feel, but without the hassle!

Thanks so much for looking!!!

8  Puppy Love Layout in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by cynabon26 on: October 01, 2009 04:39:07 PM
I love this layout because I would never ever have done it!  I'm very much a horizontal and vertical layout type of person.
The picture is offset in the circle (yes, my puppy is wearing makeup, haha. don't worry it's cruelty free)

I usually don't use more than one type of mixed media (buttons, ribbon, gems, stickers, silk flowers), let alone several different types of patterned paper, and PINK! (it's definitely not a favorite color of mine)

I very much enjoyed branching out and putting this together for my puppy.

Thanks for looking Cheesy !! I really appreciate any comments.
