2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: COWS 8 Gallery! on: March 28, 2009 03:31:48 PM
Woohoo!  I'm first to recieve!!!!!!!! (wish I'd been first to send  Roll Eyes but am working on it I swear!!!)
Here goes my pics
Everything together: 4 chalk placemats with my kids initial plus cool crayola bath and a beautiful card

Opened up placemats with letter showing

I tried to take a picture of chalk side but it came out blurry. They look very professional and the material must have been a nightmare to sew as it is very thick.
My kids are already trying them out while they wait for dinner.
Thanks for everything Spencertwins

I am a WAHM from NY with four kids; five if you count DH (and I DO count him)   six if you count our dog (she's the best behaved )

Wish list
The Queen Bee is 7. Loves purple, princesses and anything ultra feminine. size 8
She has a my Twinn doll and would LOVE matching outfit for herself and her doll Rosie.(used baby dresses in 0-3 months work great)

The King Cobra is 5. Loves knights, swords, and anything pointy    size 5 He has a new obsession for clothes with pockets. Shirts pants Pj's everything MUST have pockets.

Hercules is 4. Loves Legos, wrestling, fixing things and anything related to Handy Mandy or Bob the builder. Size 5
He is developing middle child syndrome so picking him would be most appreciated if you can.

Squirmy is 1. She's trying to catch up to her older siblings and will not play with BABY toys  Loves musical instruments and noisy noisy things
 Wears 18-24 months
Weaning is not in her near future apparently so slings and other nursing gear is still welcome.

I would love for any of them:
set of name alphabet letter pillows (have pattern if needed)
bath toys
chalkboard placemat
Kid friendly jewelry and accesories. My kids all think they are catwalk material.
aprons
kid recipe books
kid sized (but functional) cooking apparel

For girls:
twirly skirts or dresses
tea set

For boys:

Our boys have  long hair and we are in desperate search for non-girly hair ties/clips/other way to see their eyes (besides black elastic) . Braiding books or hair jewels are always welcome.
We don't do guns (wait let me rephrase that) Mommy does not like guns and although even bananas in our house magically turn into AK-47s we would appreciate no army /violent themes or toys.

I've decided to add my neices and nephews.

Neice #1 is 10 and loves CSI and mystery detective novels. She's a big reader so anything related would be great. She also loves jokes both practical and regular knock knock variety

Neice #2 is 7 and is a total ham. She loves the camera and anything that brings her attention. Think NEON colors.

Nephew is 3. He likes trains and is obsessed with his nintendo ds.

Crafty stuff forthem would be
anything related to mario bros
cool totes
anything karate related (they all have belt ranks)
I spy bags

Pick me!!!!!! Pick me!!!!   Grin
Thanks for looking!

The Importance of Walking

Walking can add minutes to your life.
This enables you at 85 years old
to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing
home at $7000 per month.

My grandpa started walking
five miles a day when he was 60.
Now he's 97 years old
and we don't know where he is.
_________________________________
I like long walks,
especially when they are taken
by people who annoy me.
_________________________________
The only reason I would take up walking
is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.
_________________________________
I have to walk early in the morning,
before my brain figures out what I'm doing..

I joined a health club last year,
spent about 400 bucks.
Haven't lost a pound.
Apparently you have to go there.
_________________________________
Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise',
I wash my mouth out with chocolate.
_________________________________
I do have flabby thighs,
but fortunately my stomach covers them.
_________________________________
The advantage of exercising every day
is so when you die, they'll say,
'Well, she looks good doesn't she.'

If you are going to try cross-country skiing,
start with a small country.
_________________________________
I know I got a lot of exercise
the last few years,......
just getting over the hill.

We all get heavier as we get older,
because there's a lot more information in our heads.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

AND

Every time I start thinking too much
about how I look,
I just find a Happy Hour
and by the time I leave,
I look just fine.
