1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / I am Loki of Asgard and I'm burdened with glorious purpose... on: August 21, 2014 05:05:22 PM
I am Loki of Asgard and I'm burdened with glorious purpose and being 14 inches tall.

My daughter asked me to make her a Loki (she is a huge Loki fan!) and here he is! He has his staff and his helmet and coat/cape are removable. My daughter also told me I nailed Loki's expression of I'm adopted and I'm not happy about it.

2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way on: July 11, 2014 04:41:36 PM
I have always been a huge fan of Mary Poppins then after seeing Saving Mr. Banks and reading Mary Poppins she wrote, the story of PL Travers I was inspired to create a Mary Poppins of my own.
I've been working on her off an on for a few months and I'm very happy with the way she turned out. She has an coat and hat that are removable, scarf, carpet bag and umbrella. she was alot of fun to make.
I didn't have a pattern but I had guidance from Allison Hoffman's amazing book, Amigurume. if you are interested in making crochet people this is a great book to own, it was extremely helpful.

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Severus Snape Blanket (no foolish wand waving or silly incantations used) on: June 19, 2014 06:39:41 PM
I made this Snape blanket for my good friend for her birthday. She is a huge Harry potter fan and Snape is her favorite. She really loves it and has requested another one for Christmas!! I found the pattern on the blog Textile Tansfiguration. It took a few months to complete and it measures 40in x 40in.

The finished blanket!

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Puppy Scarf on: February 17, 2014 07:45:07 PM
Here's a scarf I made one of my nieces a few years ago. She loves dogs so I created this scarf full of puppy dogs! It took me forever to get the right size for the dogs and I was working without a pattern, but I love how it turned out very cute. There's dalmatians, german shepherds, labradors, huskies, cocker spaniels, and terriers.
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Sigma Sorority Scarf on: February 17, 2014 07:12:36 PM
I made this scarf for one of my nieces for Christmas. She's in a Tri Sigma sorority at her college, the sorority's color is purple so I used Red Heart's Purple Tones and a matching  Red Heart solid for the Sigmas. This scarf worked up super fast which was good because I started it mighty close to Christmas!

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Star Wars Felt Christmas Ornaments on: December 14, 2013 12:18:18 AM
My husband and I belong to a Star Wars club and we hosted our clubs Christmas Party this year. Besides decorating our house with all sorts of Star Wars figures, helmets, more figures, etc... I created a bunch of Star Wars ornaments out of felt for one of the Christmas trees I set up. I was going to make a few but inspiration (and the Star Wars marathon that was on TV a couple of weeks ago) took over and I ended up making 43!

Here they are:

The Villians

The Good Guys

The Prequel Gang

The Cantina Crowd & Jabba's Palace Regulars

The Furry Friends

I created all of them with regular craft store felt, used hot glue to adhere everything together and I then used sharpies to add details. Hope you like them!
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Star Wars Blanket!! Lots of pics on: November 01, 2013 05:39:59 PM

Here's the Star Wars blanket I finished a few months ago for my son. I based the first few designs on Leah Fenton's patterns that I found on Ravelry. Then I went a little crazy and made a whole bunch more of my own. I'm very proud of this as its the biggest project I've made so far.

On the blanket:
Admiral Piett, Wampa, A-Wing, Donk-Donk Droid, Lando Calrissian
C3PO, R2D2, Stormtrooper, Tusken Raider, Death Star
X-Wing, Greedo, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Emperor Palpatine
Biker Scout, Wicket, Luke Skywalker, Tie Fighter, Gamorrean Gaurd
Slave 1, Darth Vader, Jawa, Chewbacca, Leia Organa
Boba Fett, Admiral Ackbar, Han Solo, Snow Trooper, Millennium Falcon

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Sloth Scarf on: November 01, 2013 04:53:43 PM
My daughter loves sloths, so I crocheted her a sloth scarf so that she can have a sloth around her neck at all times.
9  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Thorin Oakenshield on: November 01, 2013 12:28:19 PM
Here's the Thorin Oakenshield costume I made for my son. I began with a pattern and altered it as I needed to. The best part of this costume was that he's just about the size Thorin actually is, watching him Trick or Treat was hilarious!
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Little Tom Selleck on: August 28, 2009 10:52:14 PM
I made this little Tom Selleck for my mom. She is undergoing treatment right now for breast cancer. Her best friend gave her some stuffed small animals (that have special meaning) to take to her chemo treatments and I wanted to give her something too.
She has always loved Tom Selleck amd Magnum PI is one of her favorite shows so I figured she should have her own Tom Selleck to take with her.

He is made out of felt and fabric and stuffed with cotton and he stands about 6 inches tall and he even wears a pink ribbon supporting breast cancer.

When I gave him to my mom she couldn't stop laughing and all the nurses at the hospital love him too!
