1  Little Tom Selleck in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by devilduck on: August 28, 2009 10:52:14 PM
I made this little Tom Selleck for my mom. She is undergoing treatment right now for breast cancer. Her best friend gave her some stuffed small animals (that have special meaning) to take to her chemo treatments and I wanted to give her something too.
She has always loved Tom Selleck amd Magnum PI is one of her favorite shows so I figured she should have her own Tom Selleck to take with her.

He is made out of felt and fabric and stuffed with cotton and he stands about 6 inches tall and he even wears a pink ribbon supporting breast cancer.

When I gave him to my mom she couldn't stop laughing and all the nurses at the hospital love him too!

2  Nightmare before Christmas purse (pic heavy) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by devilduck on: August 28, 2009 10:37:50 PM
I made this purse for my daughter we are both NBC fans. The Jack side is awesome fabric I found and the Sally side was made from scraps I had on hand. I used the sewing machine to make the swirls and I sewed the big stitches with embroidery thread by hand.
The purse ended up being about 10 x 12 inches and has a zipper on top.

3  Jungle Animal Mural in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by devilduck on: August 14, 2009 10:10:15 PM
This is a mural I painted for my daughter's girl scout troop. They were hosting an event with a jungle theme.
The mural is about a 10 foot long piece of muslin and it took me a few weeks to finish.
Also I had to work on it in sections because I didn't have anywhere to lay it out flat and see the entire thing. I'm happy with how it turned out, alot of troops took their group pictures in of front it at the event.

This is my first time posting a project, I hope this works!
