2  I am Loki of Asgard and I'm burdened with glorious purpose... in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by devilduck on: August 21, 2014 05:05:22 PM
I am Loki of Asgard and I'm burdened with glorious purpose and being 14 inches tall.

My daughter asked me to make her a Loki (she is a huge Loki fan!) and here he is! He has his staff and his helmet and coat/cape are removable. My daughter also told me I nailed Loki's expression of I'm adopted and I'm not happy about it.

3  Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by devilduck on: July 11, 2014 04:41:36 PM
I have always been a huge fan of Mary Poppins then after seeing Saving Mr. Banks and reading Mary Poppins she wrote, the story of PL Travers I was inspired to create a Mary Poppins of my own.
I've been working on her off an on for a few months and I'm very happy with the way she turned out. She has an coat and hat that are removable, scarf, carpet bag and umbrella. she was alot of fun to make.
I didn't have a pattern but I had guidance from Allison Hoffman's amazing book, Amigurume. if you are interested in making crochet people this is a great book to own, it was extremely helpful.

4  Severus Snape Blanket (no foolish wand waving or silly incantations used) in Crochet: Completed Projects by devilduck on: June 19, 2014 06:39:41 PM
I made this Snape blanket for my good friend for her birthday. She is a huge Harry potter fan and Snape is her favorite. She really loves it and has requested another one for Christmas!! I found the pattern on the blog Textile Tansfiguration. It took a few months to complete and it measures 40in x 40in.

The finished blanket!

I'm finally finished! I'm really happy with the way it turned out and that it's finished! Thanks for all the support and kind words I have received here, I appreciate it. It was great to participate in the CAL it really helped me to stay motivated to finish the blanket. In a couple of days it will be on its way to Oregon. Yeah!!

7  Puppy Scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by devilduck on: February 17, 2014 07:45:07 PM
Here's a scarf I made one of my nieces a few years ago. She loves dogs so I created this scarf full of puppy dogs! It took me forever to get the right size for the dogs and I was working without a pattern, but I love how it turned out very cute. There's dalmatians, german shepherds, labradors, huskies, cocker spaniels, and terriers.

8  Sigma Sorority Scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by devilduck on: February 17, 2014 07:12:36 PM
I made this scarf for one of my nieces for Christmas. She's in a Tri Sigma sorority at her college, the sorority's color is purple so I used Red Heart's Purple Tones and a matching  Red Heart solid for the Sigmas. This scarf worked up super fast which was good because I started it mighty close to Christmas!

I started mine over the weekend and I really like working with this pattern. I'm going to make a blanket for my cousin who is getting married in March. I'm using Red Heart Aspen, Country Blue, Frosty Green, Buff, and Brown.
Here's what I have so far...

10  Star Wars Felt Christmas Ornaments in Winter Holidays by devilduck on: December 14, 2013 12:18:18 AM
My husband and I belong to a Star Wars club and we hosted our clubs Christmas Party this year. Besides decorating our house with all sorts of Star Wars figures, helmets, more figures, etc... I created a bunch of Star Wars ornaments out of felt for one of the Christmas trees I set up. I was going to make a few but inspiration (and the Star Wars marathon that was on TV a couple of weeks ago) took over and I ended up making 43!

Here they are:

The Villians

The Good Guys

The Prequel Gang

The Cantina Crowd & Jabba's Palace Regulars

The Furry Friends

I created all of them with regular craft store felt, used hot glue to adhere everything together and I then used sharpies to add details. Hope you like them!
