497  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet dolls clothes patterns?? on: September 05, 2008 11:43:15 AM
Does anybody know of good crochet clothes patterns for amigurumi dolls? I am making a girl doll for my niece and she wants a wardrobe for her but I haven't got a clue how to make cute bonnets and shawls. I have made some dresses etc from some fat quarters I had spare but I would like to make her some winter outfits?

Any good books or websites out there? If not how would I scale down a regular baby bonnet pattern to fit my doll???

Cheers  Smiley

499  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Confusing Japanese Chart on: September 02, 2008 09:05:08 AM
I am having an issue with a Japanese amigurumi chart that I found. I understand how to read it but I have noticed that there is a ch symbol before the number of the row eg

xxxxxxxxx0.10xxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxx0.9xxxxxxxxxxxxx

now does this mean I add 1 chain at the beginning of the row, or at the end or not at all?Huh Arrrrrrr
I have tried adding it at the beginning of the row but then each round has 1 extra stitch when I count.
I am really confused.
500  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Where can I find this book in the UK? on: September 01, 2008 07:21:48 AM
Hi guys!

I have seen quite a few references to this book both on Craftster and on the web, but I cannot find it anywhere to buy here in England, I really really really want to make the duck and elephant from it. It is driving me nuts trying to find someone who will post to the UK and that doesn't cost the moon to send.
Any ideas???

I better not put a picture in because it will probably infringe on copyright or something, so here is a link to a picture
