Hot and sophisticated at the same time. Very nice. Does the wool suiting have any stretch to it?

Thanks! Yep, it has about 2% spandex, so it has juuust enough give to make it really flattering.

Wow! I love it! And it looks so good on you! Did you use any pattern?
I didn't for this one, just made my own, but I noticed that a couple of the major pattern companies have patterns this fall that are this exact style (talk about coincidental timing, huh?). For example, Vogue's V8593 and Butterick's B5382 are both very similar.

Hey all. Smiley Ever since I saw this photo of the French president's wife a few months ago, I have been dying to make a similar dress. So, last weekend, I threw one together out of a wonderful wool suiting I found:

Here it is on me:

(The belt isn't attached, I just added it because I like it.)

What do you guys think?

Thanks. Smiley Yeah, I made it without a pattern (or rather, I drafted my own).

Hi guys. Smiley I made this on a whim on Saturday night without any planning, really. I just happened to have the fabric lying around and wanted to make something new.

I wore it yesterday out in the sun and it was great! The only problem is that I now have a sunburn in the shape of a square on my chest. Oh well.  Tongue
