11  Re: One Tiny Stuffie Round 8--GALLERY!--Mail by 11/14/11 in The Swap Gallery by nmcakemom07 on: November 29, 2011 10:58:37 AM
Well its taken a while but I finally have pictures of the awesomeness that v3nu5 sent to me.  I have had this package for almost a week now, but with the holiday, its been hard to get on the computer.

First for my son, a dinosaur (a corinthasaurus I am told)

some extra dinos for the boy

sorry about the blur, the T Rex kept moving.

Then my lovelies
a pair of penguins with lovely crocheted accessories

and the best penguin mini poppet on earth!

and she has removable hair so that I can make her some new wigs.

she has a snap on her head and a snap on the wig so they stay on.  Genius!

also v3nu5 is notorious for spoiling so here are some of the goodies that she sent.

some hand dyed silk.  I can't wait to start knitting with this. And a KISS hat for the hubby, very considerate, he's worn it twice so far.

and some Christmas Cheer!

There is a penguin door hanger and a dino wash cloth also but they walked off with a little boy so I couldn't photograph them.

Thanks v3nu5, you are the awesomest!!!!!!

Here are some more pictures of Cherry48's swap package. I unfortunately only took pictures of the main items, but there were a boatload of extras for her as well since she said that she had a hard time finding Badtz Maru items.  Here phone is broken so she is without a camera right now.

A knitted amigurumi of Badtz Maru.  This is on my to do list to make for me (which I will never get to) Wink

A knitted doll that is supposed to be Lollipop from one of her favorite books "Valiant: A Modern Faerie Tale"  I've never read the books so I had to use Wikipedia for a character description

and she likes hair accessories so I made her a Charmy kitty fascinator.

I also made her some stitch markers but failed to photograph them, and sent along lots of candy, a Sopapilla mix, some red chile powder and some green chile packets.

Thanks for a great swap Cherry48!

Here are some pictures of the horse and the dragon , and one of the Catrina skull.  She said that she wanted something from New Mexico, so its a one of a kind skull from here. I had so much fun knitting these.  The picture of your son and the dragon is great.

and a closeup of the Catrina

Thanks for a great swap Almost Dawn and suereal!  Muah!!!! Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss

I received my package from Cherry48 on Friday but my camera has been acting up. (time to buy a new power pack  Tongue)
So after trying to figure out what was up with my camera, I just said "bag it!" and used my phone.  So  I apologize ahead of time for the pics.  She did a lot of extras, but she spoiled the heck out the boy.

Most of the whole package

First this fantastic pirate/sea creatures throw blanket for the kid

the pattern

he loves pirates and sea creatures so this was a BIG hit.
some dvd's for him as well

Ben 10 ultimate alien and Skunk Fu which was totally cute.

Pretty candy box full of See's candy for cakemom and cakedad

stickers, gum, Japanese erasers for the boy, a cross pendant and cut dog note card for me.

A domo stuffie and Hello Kitty stuffie for me.  This is great because I always say I am going to get me a domo stuffie and I never do.  Now I don't have too. Grin

A way cool Hello Kitty rubber cuff.

An uber cute mini tupperware cake set with cake carrier, pitcher, plates, cups and a server so Kitty and domo can have punch and pie.

A bento silverware set, which had fork, spoon, knife and chopsticks.  My hubby confiscated this for his lunchbox since he has to take his lunch everyday.

and this bag with the cute fruit kawai print.

that had these in it,

Super comfy pajama plants.

These are awesome and soooooo conforting.
and the bag glows inside

and had super duper pair of slippers that are the fruity material on the top and crocheted in the soles

I love love love them and they fit perfectly!
She also sent a nifty skull/halloween wall difuser/night light by wallflowers with a lavender sent, but it went to his room right away and smells soooo good.  Definitely needed!
Thank you so Cherry 48, we loved everything.

Okay round 6 OTS swappers, remember the thread about unicorn poop? (Honestly who could forget?)  Well our lovely co-organizer, suereal was my partner for the Japanese cuteness/Kawaii swap, and she sent me here interpretation of what unicorn poop looks like.

Rainbow colored and sprinkles, only instead of smelling like cupcakes, it smells like polymer clay, which is fine with me.
I just about peed my pants when I saw it.

Just thought I would share her awesomeness.

I also received and awesome package from suereal yesterday and I am a kid in a candy store, totally overwhelmed by the goodies and "packing materials".  This is picture heavy, so be prepared.

First sight of the box literally busting out:

Then it busted out:

First this absolutely fantastic messenger bag from my list with the fave Badtz Maru:

then there were 3 beautifully wrapped tubes one addressed nmcakedad, one addressed nmcakeboy and one for the cakemom  and we opened them together and all of us squeeed, (well I squeed, they both went cooool!)

the cakeboy:
T-Rex shirt that made him rip the shirt he was wearing off and this was on in like 5 seconds

equipped with his own light saber flashlight.  He LOVVVEEESSS flashlights!

the cakedad: (a gamer)

His new favorite shirt.  This absolutely made his week, and was thrilled with this.  I can't thank you enough for including them.

the cakemom

a Harry Potter hello kitty!  I don't know if you can see the detail, but this is applique that the outline was sewn onto the shirt and then cut all of the extra fabric off to expose just the outline.  Super cool, I am wearing it today and will post a pic of me in it a little later.

then also this awesome picture clay picture frame with my fellow tomboy Kuromi!  And it glows in the dark too!

and this super cool beaded bunny charm that is already on my phone.

(sorry about the picture)

and my LOL gift, unicorn poop!  (If you participated in last month's One tiny stuffie round, you may know about this, if not, there is a demented discussion on the board (round six) about what unicorn poop looks like, we all decided it was rainbow colored with sprinkles on it and smelled like cupcakes)
suereal's interpretation:

now the packing material:

way too much to list, but most of them came from the bubble machines suereal mentioned earlier.

more packing material:

major shout out for the star egg mold, the elephant aluminum foil and the doll needles, I go through these like toothpicks.
and I got a Jack Skelly ring too!

Thank you so much Susi, you made a rough week end on an awesome note!  YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!

Awesome!! There was one item that I've been trying to decide on making and this extra week of craft time just made my decision!

I'm glad to hear it.  BTW Holly, I get so many compliments on the purse you make me.  I just love it.

I came across this today browsing the internet.
