I just made this same dress out of some really soft jade jersey. I wish I had known that the pattern would come out so large...I cut a 14 and had to take the waist in a ton. I have a gray jersey sheet I just got at the thrift store that's going to a second version of this dress, though, so now I know what I need to change.

Winmill is definitely fabulous. I'm new to Boston (in my freshman year of college) and I was really worried I wouldn't be able to find any great places to get fabric. I searched around on the internet and heard great things about Winmill, and it's all true! There's a great selection and the staff is wonderful. You should DEFINITELY go.

Very cute! I've always wanted to wear high-waisted shorts with heels, but my legs don't look like that at all so I can't pull it off. Also, those shoes are amazing and I have to have them.

Target sells $20 sewing machines??!?!?! That's perhaps the best news I've heard in a while! I'm leaving for college tomorrow and I can't take my machine (WAAAAHHH). BUT they ship the freshman to Taget on a bus one night...I CAN STILL SEW!
