2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / anna wrap dress question on: December 06, 2008 02:31:54 PM
I know it is supposed to be 2 aprons that are attached by the shoulder straps, my question is, when wearing/dressing, do the back apron straps tie in the front of the belly, before tying the back pieces?
it's a logistics thing for me.  I can't seem to get this visual right in my mind.
I just can't see how this would be real comfy.

thanks.

New Look 6333
this pattern rocks, and could easily be made short sleeved.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: youcanmakethis.com horrible customer service so far on: October 31, 2008 02:27:10 PM
today is day 6. still nothing.
I have sent 3 more e-mails and left 2 more messages on their machine.

I am highly highly dissapointed.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / RESOLUTION INSIDE youcanmakethis.com horrible customer service so far on: October 29, 2008 12:41:19 PM
I placed an order for 3 patterns on saturday night, paid, clicked continue and it gave me a service error. great.
no patterns or confirmation of my order went to my e-mail, but my credit card was pending payment.

I have sent them 3 different e-mails about this, and left a voice mail on their customer service line (more like "no one is answering this ever" line) and my credit card payment went through as paid yesterday.

so they have my $30, and I have nothing.  and no one is helping me. all I want are my PDF's.

you would think they'd at least answer an e-mail or 3.

4 days now, and I'm very dissapointed.

-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=
follow up.
I finaly got an e-mail and an attached set of PDF's for my patterns on Monday. 8 and a half days after said event.
they took their time.
not sure how many more of these expensive patterns I'll be buying.
but at least I got them.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: I need help! Sewing multiple rows of ruffles... on: October 09, 2008 01:49:13 PM
I always do after, as you can make one super duper long ruffle, or several long ruffles and just go up and up and up as needed on the dress.

plus I dislike the way ruffles look tucked into a hem. I think it kind of defeats the purpose.

lots of ruffles huh?  I wanna see!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: Where to find white t-shirts-girls on: October 09, 2008 01:47:33 PM
I have been buying my plain T's at Old Navy.
the short sleeves had puffy sleeves to them, and are on sale now I think. and the long sleeve whites have a false lap collar with buttons on the shoulders (all sizes 0-3 all the way to 5T). it's a small embellishment but they take to applique great. and they have them in some great pinks and grey and yellow.
I bought a bunch of them.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: farbenmix feliz dress help on: October 08, 2008 11:20:59 AM
thanks, I had found that link about 10 minutes after posting, but I figured I'd keep the post up in case anyone had words of wisdom.

I still can't figure out why it is assembled the way it is, because any way you do it, the ugly interior of that underskirt will peep out, I just don't get it.

otherwise it's a pretty pattern/dress.
too bad I need to size it down a bunch as my daughter is smaller than the smallest size. oops.

here's to reworking.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / farbenmix feliz dress help on: October 07, 2008 10:51:00 AM
ok, so I have it all constructed, the straps, the top apron and the underdress.
but how do I put them together.
if I do it like the instructions tell me to, the inside of the underdress fabric will be poking out the inside edge of the front piece. ugly.

I'm confused?
