So I have been meaning to make one of these fore quite a while and since I was going to be travelling a few weeks back I decided to make one before I left so I did not have to worry about a hook falling out of my craft bag.

I know it is not crochet ,but it is for my hooks so here it is.

I got a panel in a bag of fabric and I put it together but i am having trouble deciding what colour of ribbon to use in order to give the wreath texture.  Please give me your opinion as which will be better.

I hope this was the right place i figure it is a deoration for the home.

(excluding long chains made as a child) I actually have still not finished my first one it is still in my knitting bag and plan on finishing it this weekend during a long car ride.

I found this patter on the lionbrand website. http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/80356AD.html?noImages=  and had to try it.  I will include it with my nieces birthday present in a few weeks.

I'm off to make a second one for my other niece.

My sister is expecting next month and i am going down to visit her next we, you can imagine my shock when i managed to finish the baby quilt i was planning on making for her over a week before i needed too (LOL).

My sister has painted the little ones (supposedly a girl) room pale blue and purchased a care bear bedding set so I went out and found some care bear fabric for a small quilt not necessarily for the room but so that it would match if she wanted to.  I like that it does not scream care bear since I am not big on commercial characters for children's decorations and clothing.

Here is what I came up with.

It is hanging form the cabinets in my basement.

If I had left myself more time (I only started last week) I would have been able to do a more intricate pattern.

So yesterday afternoon i pulled out my bits of ribbon and ends of fleece from other projects and made some taggies for all the babies my family and friends are expecting  in the near future. Here is what i ended up with by the end of the afternoon.

So I was sick of my boring dayplanner, i never had a pen and had to flip for the page i was looking for so I decided to make a cover for it with book mark and pen pocket. 

I looked through my fabric stash and found a little fabric left form a yard I had bought to cover the seat of a chair I found and now have placed at my front door. (in theory for sitting on to put your shoes on in actuality for collecting junk that should be put away)

I had some fabric leftover so I made a check book cover and then there was still a little bit so I made a case for my MP3 player.

What you cant really see is that there is a pocked on the mp3 case and my ear phones and spare SD card are in there.

This was my first attempt at all of these please let me know what you think.

I made this a while back for my niece's baby shower, I did not have much time and had already bought a gift so I kept this one simple.  I was my first attempt and i think it turned out quite well and was a nice addition to the table at the entry way of the party.
