oh I have been to joanns many times but I haven't found this type of vinyl there.  Joanns does not list the weight per yrd of their vinyl ...I have been making fabric purses for a while now and to me a nice faux leather bag or vinyl would be more suitable and look more sleek to me. I just love the look of this bag and maybe fabric could do it but that is not the look im going for so the search continues.

I am looking for some vinyl that is polyurathane and is super soft and pliable to make a bag...I have been searching for weeks now and am not quite sure what weight I am looking for or type if there is something specific I should look for...any ideas...Ill show u a pic of a purse for and idea of what i am thinking.

I have noticed looking at the pics so many times that I think the cc section needs reinforcement between the layers like maybe the crossstitch plastic thingy I bought at michaels...I could slip it in then sew top seam or I suppose I could use cardboard or a stiff interfacing

I know they don't match but I was just experimenting with fabric that I have on hand and thought I would try making a wallet and a handbag
I used the part of the tutorial for the handbag from sewmamasew.com April bag...mine has a gusset instead of rounded corners and I added a flower.

The wallet is just my idea of what i need in a wallet...easy access to cash and coin since i am not a credit card user but still carry  one and easy access to my other cards etc.
I will do a matching set later this week and maybe readjust the wallet cc pockets lower so they won't be in the way of the closure )
I dont think i did pics right cause they turned out too small...hmm...ok fixed that!

I absolutely love the fabric and the bag and clutch are very nice!!
The handles on the bag look nice ...what are they ...kinda looks like rope...where did you get it from

Craftychef...sounds like a super idea. I have been thinking the past few weeks. I think they need to be sealed since they are wood. I think they would last better with a sealer on them . if they were to get wet they could warp.
ok the ones i treated with lemon oil are too dark now.
