11  Re: Inchie My Theme R2 in The Swap Gallery by Sylvanna on: April 23, 2011 11:18:37 AM
I'm so sorry to hear about your cat Rainbow_Storms   Embarrassed *hug*

So I've received 3 lovely sets of inchies so far, sorry it has taken me a while to post pictures but I've just made it back home after a few days away.

The first set I received were these lovely inchies from Crafty Butterfly...

For my theme of kitties...

And woodland animals (so cute!!)..I especially love the little Koala

The next set was from KaoticKrafter. They came in a really cool envelope and card made from recycled maps, which I stupidly didn't take a pic of! I got quite spoilt and received more than 8 inchies  Smiley

For my woodland animal theme KaoticKrafter made these lovely inchies...(and the bonus adorable giraffe inchie drawn by her daughter)

And then another of my themes...Vampires and Werewolves (including a Blade inchie...I love Blade), and then one for my Doctor Who theme...

Then the third set I received are these completely gorgeous hand drawn woodland animals from mxer145...

They match the colours in my bedroom perfectly so I think I'm going to put them in a frame Smiley My favourite is this little guy...how cute?!

Thank you to all of you...I love them Smiley

The napkin came out so well...and such a great idea Smiley I love the kitty tin as well, so cute!

I received a lovely package today from Joyosaurusrex ...so full of BBT goodness!  Cheesy Prepare for piccies...

First are these coasters, featuring my favourite guys and some of their best quotes...

Next is a funky canvas painting...I love the colours...and it includes the Soft Kitty lyrics! Smiley

Next...some Penny Blossoms (this has to be one of my favourite episodes ever and I'm so happy to now own my very own Penny Blossoms Smiley

Next, a cute little Bazinga bracelet Smiley

And then...some Moonpies!! Being a Brit, I had no idea they even existed - so cool! There were three...I ate one already  Wink

I had to leave these little guys (and girl) to last because I love them so much!! My own mini Sheldon, Raj, Leonard, Penny and Howard! Eeee!

Here they are posing in front of my big bang theory DVD box...

What's cuter than that?? Nothing!  Cheesy

Thank you so much!  Smiley

I have received the most amazing parcel of Moomin goodies from Butweed. I'm in awe of everything - it's all so well made and so incredibly unique!

The first items I unwrapped were these...

A Moomin knife and fork!!! Literally amazing...I love them Smiley And then....to go with the knife and fork...

The cutest Moomin plate, with my name on it! Here's a closeup...

Then we have one of the most beautiful craft items I've ever received...a lovely glass of Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden Smiley

Next (did I get spoilt or did I get spoilt?!) was the gorgeous stamp of Moomintroll on a cloud (from one of my favourite moments from a Moomin story). I love how thoughtful this is...

And then there was a gorgeous embroidered piece which is totally going on my embroidery wall asap!...

Can you believe it's Butweed's first attempt at embroidery?! And it's The Muskrat! I have a huge soft spot for the Muskrat Smiley

And last...some tasty Moomin treats (how cool!?)

Thank you so much for such amazing items and spoiling me so much!  Smiley

Thanks for the link to the pattern  Smiley

I've received from bettinonalice....and I LOVE everything so much Smiley Get ready for some awesome tiny movieness  Cheesy

My five films were....The Lost Boys, Willow, My Neighbour Totoro, Coraline and Labyrinth.

The first thing I found in my box of goodies was this lovely necklace (which has already been worn today)...which features lyrics from one of my all time favourite movie songs...

And a close-up...

Next was this lovely framed Coraline picture, which is gorgeous and so nicely drawn...and includes stitching around the edge and a stitched on button

I love the button...it's the perfect finishing touch...

And then last...the cutest piece of mini movie memorabilia...in honour of the awesome Frog Brothers from The Lost Boys....

It's The Frog Brothers chest!! Painted around the edge is For Truth, Justice and The American Way...and inside....

Mini stakes and holy water to fight off tiny vampires!!

Also included were some really cute mini embroidery hoops which I'm already planning to fill with some stitching and the Repo! The Genetic Opera soundtrack (this film was on imbettinonalice's movie list and I fell in love with it)

Thank you sooo much for everything, I really love it and have loved every minute of this swap. Now I just hope your parcel arrives soon (my postal service anxiety is growing by the day  Wink )

19  Re: Embroidery Hoopla R3 - OTT Edition Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Sylvanna on: January 08, 2011 03:29:46 AM
I'm so glad you like your Bazinga! hoop sparrowarms...I had so much fun stitching it and watching The Big Bang Theory at the same time Smiley

Over the past couple of days I've received both of my hoops and I loveee both of them!  Smiley Here they are..

Sparrowarms made this absolutely adorable gnome themed hoop...and wow it's tiny!! It's a three inch hoop and is just sooo cute!!

The stitching is so tiny and neat. Here's a close up of the gnome (I'm going to say it again...sooo cute!)

Thank you so much, I love it Smiley

And then this morning I received this gorgeous hoop from Jolyon. I love woodland animals so it's perfect, and the stitching has me in awe...

I'm feeling very inspired to try some new stitches! Here's a close up for a better look at the stitching...

It's beautiful, thank you Smiley

20  Moomin Swap in New Swap Theme Ideas by Sylvanna on: November 27, 2010 01:35:34 AM

So I'm just designing a Moomin related Christmas present for a friend at work and it got me thinking how much fun a Moomin swap could be  Smiley I love, love, love the colours/ designs used in Moomin artwork  Smiley

I've had a quick search and can't see that one has happened before so wondered if there would be any interest?

In case anyone doesn't know - Moomin's are trolls (who strongly resemble adorable white hippos) who live in the forests of Finland and have starred in their own books and cartoons...and are basically completely gorgeous   Cheesy

If there is any interest then I'd be happy to try my hand at organising (probably not until the New year though  Wink)
