The sushi, toast, popsicles, and blue narwhal were all presents to friends at the end of the last school year. The Mario block and power-ups, the pink narwhal, and DS cozy were Christmas presents, and the coin purses have all gone on sale or have already been sold. Cheesy

I don't know about faking a kiln fire, but if you can find a place like this near you, I'm sure you can work out a way to use their kiln without painting using their supplies. It would cost money but it would be more durable than an alternative.

I haven't tried this and it doesn't show a picture of the final product, but I read through it and it seems like it would work perfectly.

The kind I used were Pebeo brand. They make ceramic and glass pens and paint. I think they have them on Amazon too. Hope that helps! (:
It does, thanks! I might just decorate some bowls of my own. Awesome idea!
10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Zelda-inspired slab container (Majora's Mask) and bowl (Ocarina of Time) on: August 01, 2009 10:26:37 PM
I made these for my ceramics class last year. Sadly, I thought the "amber" glaze (brown) was "ember" (red), so I ended up using the wrong color, but I still like how they turned out. The one thing I wish I could fix is the bad glazing job on the outside of the container. Luckily people notice the top much more than the bottom. (:

The first one is a container with a Majora's Mask lid. Real mask vs. container:

bottom and top together - http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs102.snc1/5005_1171707416549_1343930973_471967_555715_n.jpg
just the bottom - http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs102.snc1/5005_1171707376548_1343930973_471966_7379345_n.jpg
(Notice the difference between good and bad glazing on the bottom. That's one mistake I won't make again. Smiley )

The second one, which is actually the one I made first, has the Hylian crest on the front and the spiritual medallions going all the way around. The Fire Medallion is brown like on my mask, but like with the mask, I think it still looks nice.

I also have a weird little "kiln god" that was one of my assignments, like these two, and (from a class I'm currently taking) a miniature cupcake container and a whistle, both of which are still bisque ware. I'll post pictures if anybody wants to see them.
