Whoops! I thought I had posted the pattern. I got it from the Lion Brand website. It's caleld Aaron's Hat Trick #5 (there are 6 variations to the pattern.) Here is the one I used
http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/70095A.html?noImages= . It doesn't look like it will have a point, but I promise it will

stitchqueen-- Yes, I used 2 stranded throughout (instead of one strand of Jiffy, which the pattern calls for). I have a few more to post up, in which I used a cream "base yarn," instead of black. They have a softer look, and are a bit smaller, as i think the cream yarn is a tad thinner than the black. Also, the model is my sister, and I will tell her

She is usually more than glad to model for me (all of the kids in my family are suckers for attention), and she asked if/when I sell them, she can be my accountant. I think she just wants a share of the moolah.
v3nu5--In the pattern, the first round is 6 sc. Then in the second round, you increase (work 2 sc) in every other stitch, instead of every stitch, as you would for a regular, beanie style hat. As for the pattern you posted a link to, I would try maybe not increasing as many times each round as you would in any other hat. Does that make sense?
